MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON ONE DAY FOR NO REASON AND CONTINUES TO STAY ON CONSTANTLY. SPOKE WITH KIA DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE LIGHT AND IT WAS EXPLAINED THAT THE RECALL DOES NOT INCLUDE MY AMANTI. THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH AMANTIS SOLD TO BE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL DO TO THE NUMBERS GAME. THEY WANT ME TO PAY BETWEEN $800 AND $1600 TO HAVE IT FIXED. THIS AIRBAG LIGHT IS THE SAME DEFECT THAT THE OPTIMAS AND RONDOS ARE HAVING. IT IS UNSAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE MY CAR. THEY NEED TO REPLACE IT FREE OF CHARGE. IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE SAME RECALL FOR OTHER VEHICLES. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. PLEASE HAVE THE AMANTIS ADDED TO THE RECALL. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
