No recalls in our database for this model year
That does not guarantee a specific vehicle is unaffected — recalls are issued against VINs, and new campaigns are announced regularly. Check a VIN on NHTSA.gov.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 LEXUS GX43, EQUIPPED WITH NEXEN TIRES N5000 245/40/R18 XL. WHEN THE TRAFFIC LIGHT CHANGED TO GREEN AND TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE BLEW UP. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND WENT OVER A SIDEWALK AND DAMAGED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER LEXUS OF WINTER PARK, 305 N SEMORAN BLVD, WINTER PARK, FL 32792, THEY REPLACED THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRES. THE TIRES WERE AFTERMARKET ITEMS, THEY WERE NOT OEM. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 151,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 LEXUS GS430. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AND PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MINUTES, THE CONTACT NOTICED FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY A FRIEND. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FIRE MAY HAVE ORIGINATED FROM THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
DOOR HINGE ON VEHICLE LOOKS TO HAVE MANUFACTURE PROBLEM BUT I DO NOT SEE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE IT IS BREAK THROUGH THE METAL AND CREATING A HOLE AND MAY NEED TO BE WELDED OF SOME SORT OR A NEW DOOR. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM LEXUS IN FT MYERS FLORIDA AROUND TWO YEARS AGO AND THE DOOR HAS ALWAYS HARD A RUFF CLOSE TO IT. RECENTLY IVE NOTICED IT GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO CLOSE. AND WHEN I LOOKED TO SEE WHERE THE ISSUE WAS IT SEEMS TO BE THE HINGE. I BROUGHT THIS UP TO THE DEALER THE FIRST WEEK I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AND THEY SAID IT MAY JUST NEED TO BE OPENED AND CLOSED A FEW TIMES SINCE ITS BEEN ON THE LOT FOR A BIT. BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME TYPE OF RESOLUTION AS IVE NEVER HAD ANY COMPLAINTS BUT FEEL THIS COULD NOT HAVE BEEN WEAR AND TEAR AND SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURE ISSUE. AND ITS ONLY ON ONE HINGE OF THE TWO ON THE DOOR. SO NO WAY THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING CREATED OR DONE BY MYSELF OR ANY PREVIOUS OWNERS. THE DOOR IS STARTING TO HANG AND BOTTOM IS PUSHED OUT A BIT SO ITS UNALINED. I LOVE MY VEHICLE AND HOPE THAT I COULD GET SOME ASSISTANCE.
MY CHECK PCS AND VBS LIGHTS CAME ON AND WENT OFF. I CONTINUE TO DRIVE AND MY BREAKS WORKED FINE FOR A WEEK. DRIVING HOME ON A SIDE STREET CROSSING A BRIDGE AND A PIERCING BEEP CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. I THINK THAT WAS AN INDICATOR RO PULL OFF THE ROAD. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND SLOWLY GUIDED TO SIDE OF BRIDGE AND CALLED MY HUSBAND. I HAD A DIAGNOSTICS AND WAS TOLD THAT IS ABS ACCELERATOR AND THAT AND THE PART IS $2500 WITHOUT LABOR. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT MY BRAKES GAVE OUT AND SHOULD BE ON THE RECALL LIST. MY CAR IS 2006 GS430 WITH 106,000 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 LEXUS GS430. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE CONTACT DROVE THROUGH A SMALL PUDDLE OF WATER. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE STEERING. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS STIFF AND THE CONTACT COULD NOT STEER OR BRAKE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
FRONT RIGHT WHEEL MAKES LOUD BANGING SOUND. STARTED WHEN THE CAR HAD ABOUT 70,000 MILES ON IT. THEN CAME A HORRIBLE SQUEAKING SOUND. THIS OCCURS CONSTANTLY WHEN DRIVING AND ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL. I REPLACED THE LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING IN JUNE. THEY WERE COMPLETELY GONE AND MADE THE WHEELS HAVE A LOT OF PLAY . THE NOISE WENT AWAY FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND IS NOW BACK LOUDER THAN EVER.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 LEXUS GS430. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 70 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT HE WOULD GIVE THE CONTACT NEW RIMS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TIRES. THE CONTACT LATER ADVISED THE DEALER THAT THE STEERING RACK MALFUNCTIONED. THE DEALER AGREED TO REPAIR THE STEERING FAILURE; HOWEVER, REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75000.

TSB: Vehicles may display evidence of a fluid leak or fluid seep from powertrain components. This bulletin explains how to determine the differences between a fluid leak versus a fluid seep. Cases that are determined to be a ?leak? should be repaired accordingly and will be covered under warranty if applicable. Cases that are determined to be a ?seep? should be documented on the repair order and inspected at the next service interval. Follow the Repair Information in this bulletin to determine if the concern in question is a fluid leak or fluid seep and review the Repair Procedure section to address this condition.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
