1994 Lincoln Continental Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE DOOR LOCKS WOULD NOT ALWAYS AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN THE CAR WAS PUT INTO DRIVE WHEN I PURCHASED IT. I TOOK IT BACK IN SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD IT CHECKED BUT THEY COULD NEVER REPAIR THE PROBLEM. NOW THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK AT ALL UNLESS IT IS DONE MANUALLY. THE REMOTE AND KEYLESS ENTRY WILL NOT WORK EITHER. THE AUTOMATIC LEVELING SYSTEM MAKES AN AWFUL WHIRRING NOISE NOW THAT THE DEALER SAYS IS NORMAL. IT WASN'T NORMAL WHEN THE CAR WAS NEW BECAUSE IT DID NOT MAKE THAT NOISE. *AK
