1994 Lincoln Continental Heating & air conditioning Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the heating or air-conditioning system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Heating & air conditioning reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO ENGINES, TWO TRANSMISSIONS, TWO SETS OF MOTOR MOUNTS, BEEN IN NUMEROUS TIMES FOR REPAIRS TO THE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE HEAD GASKETS BLEW CAUSING ENGINE FAILURE WITHOUT WARNING. WE SPENT OVER $20,000.00 IN 1999 FOR REPAIRS. WE PAID FOR A RADIATOR THAT WAS NOT DEFECTIVE AT ALL, (JUST FOUND THIS OUT LAST WEEK), A WATER PUMP AND A VALVE BODY AFTER A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. THE 1994 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL WAS A "REAL LEMON" AND MORE SHOULD BE DONE TO PROTECT CONSUMERS AGAINST HAVING TO PAY FOR THESE VEHICELS AND THEN HAVING TO PAY TO REBUILD THEM.
