Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
SUSPENSION
This bulletin provides instructions for installing new updated front shock absorbers and upper mounting brackets. The updated shock absorber and mounting bracket lowers the top of the shock absorber improving the allowable maximum travel of the front leaf spring pack and keeps the shock absorber in its normal travel zone reducing the time the shock absorber is in hydraulic rebound
EQUIPMENT
This bulletin provides instructions for installing rubber hose STAUFF clamps in areas of the vehicle that have hard line STAUFF clamps installed on rubber hoses. Rubber hose STAUFF clamps have a smooth inner contact surface and filleted edges. Installing rubber hose STAUFF clamps will reduce potential hose chaffing in areas where hard line clamps were installed
FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:FUEL FILTER
This bulletin provides instruction for installing a hydraulic system charge pump filter.
EQUIPMENT
This bulletin provides information on updating hydraulic hose clamping below the cab to match current production. Engineering recommends changing out the front STAUFF clamp using the following procedure. The second STAUFF clamp can be changed out using this procedure if desired.
POWER TRAIN
This bulletin provides information on topics specific to transmission high temperature warnings reported in the field. The topics listed were helpful in preventing transmission high temperature warning conditions.
EQUIPMENT
This bulletin provides instruction for replacing the water pump impeller due to corrosion. Oshkosh has received reports of non-working water pumps due to the pump impeller becoming corroded and seized, causing the pump not to spin. A new impeller made of an improved alloy was developed to eliminate corrosion issues.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
