Check engine light on 2026 ram RHO Ram Dealerships selling trucks when they know have electrical problems coming off the assembly line.
Check engine light was electrical failure truck has been in the shop for a week now .
Windshield wipers turned on by themselves and will not turn off, odometer is flashing, service airbag message on dash and airbag warning light flashing on dash and blinkers do not work. Stellantis cannot fix the problem and refuse to take truck back. Truck only has 3100 miles on it. Truck has been at Charlevoix Auto Ram Dealership Service since June 1, 2026. Multiple cases have been opened with auto manufacturer by dealership and us, the owner. Auto manufacturer will not buy back vehicle and put us new vehicle. We hadn't had vehicle for 3 months when this happened.
My 2026 Ram 1500 RHO is experiencing active DRL and parking light failures matching Recall 62D, causing a severe nighttime visibility and crash risk
Multiple occurrences of center stack display freezing and then going black. Which made the backup camera display unable to be used. Screen stayed black for entire drive and did not reset until multiple restarts of vehicle.
My 2026 Ram 1500 Bighorn Crew Cab After vehicle startup, approximately five seconds, after initiating forward,, the vehicle experience and abrupt engine shut down while in motion. Concurrently the vehicles, electronic parking brake forcefully self engages without driver command due to an automated safety conflict. This severe powertrain, and electrical failure completely strands the vehicle and active traffic, presenting an immediate life-threatening risk of a rear-end collision. This exact failure mode has occurred a total of five separate times, and the authorized dealership is currently attempting a software remedy under an escalated Corporate stare case.
Truck went off when braking in traffic. Numerous times. Dealer unable To duplicate. Video was Sent to them. Headlights flash off sometimes at night when applying brakes.
Parking sensors and forward sensors used for adaptive cruise control will identify objects that are not there and the car will break. Car with shut off while driving (not the normal engine cutoff with restart) and shift to park suddenly. Backup camera is blanked out and rear sensor will not work. Towing mode with initiate on its own with not trailer hooked up while driving. False low oil lights and no tire pressure sensor connections. The truck has stalled several times while pulling into cross traffic nearly causing accidents 2x Display screen/speedometer will just black out while driving.
2026 Ram 1500 Bighorn level 2 package. The Theme Mode button is missing under Display or Profile on the radio display screen, which keeps the widgets on screen black and no back lighting on the instrument console gauges in front of driver during daylight operations keeping them dark also. Some vehicle have the issues with the missing Theme Mode Button others do not. Local dealer can’t figure a solution. Ram customer care states “ we can only make an ointment with the dealer.”
The Ram 2026 towing package includes tow mirrors. These mirrors create a huge blind spot. multiple times I have started to pull out only to realize there was a car coming. I have had many close calls because these mirrors are so tall. I asked Ram about putting on the regular mirrors but they say it is not possible. I have read in many forums people with the same complaints.07
The uConnect radio and the gauge cluster in my 2026 RAM 1500 have consistent issues with their performance and do not operate consistently as designed. The gauge cluster will frequently go blank, have the odometer flashing, or stay on when the vehicle has been turned off. The radio will consistently display "connection negotiation failed" which impairs the use of android auto or any of the factory navigation or other radio features. You have to power cycle the vehicle a few times for those issues to resolve themselves.
The auto leveling air suspension in my 2026 RAM 1500 does not operate as designed. The vehicle is designed to lower from normal ride height to aero ride height at speeds above 63mph. However, it is not supposed to raise or lower at any speed automatically with a trailer with an integrated trailer brake controller attached to it. In January 2026, I was merging onto the highway with my 7x16 enclosed trailer and the rear end of the truck because unstable the stability control activated and when I looked at the dash it stated aero ride height achieved. I have video of this happening more than once. I took it to the dealer on January 16th was told to bring my trailer in and they woulf perform a comparison test with a truck that is equally equipped. It took from January to June to perform the comparison test. Stellantis has confirmed they are aware of the issue but they do not have a solution for it at this time.
Q1. Vehicle brake malfunction. Vehicle was from a rental agency. Upon driving, the brakes would not work on two separate occasions. (6/30 and 7/1) Q2. Upon starting the vehicle from gas station and driving towards the stop sign to exit, the brake system failed. Had I gone at a higher speed, I have caused an accident, injuring myself and others. Q3. No. The agency submitted the vehicle for a diagnostic which revealed no issues or malfunctions. The brake malfunction happend twice while i had the vehicle in my position Q4. Yes. Upon return to rental agency, the vehicle was inspected. Upon no issue, then sent to Corpus Christi for an additional diagnostic Q5. No.
Service Airbag System warning came on 1500 miles in while on vacation. Pregnant wife and 2 year old in the truck. Took the truck to the dealer and the Occupant Classification Control Module was shorted out. Vehicle has been in the shop for 12 days and counting.
The Uconnect system freezes up, produces a black screen, or will not allow carplay to work as should. The vehicle has been to the dealer three times this is a major safety issue- Uconnect controls essential safety operations(Back up cameras, climate control, hands free safety alerts, radio)
I purchased this vehicle on 2/1 and the recall was issued 2/2. I was notified about the recall on 2/9 and contacted the dealer the same day. I was told they weren't prepared to handle it and to call back later. I called back towards the end of the month and was added to a wait list. I was told they would have to wait for the parts. I called back a couple weeks later and was told there are approximately 100 people ahead of me and that they are only receiving enough parts to complete 3-5 trucks a month. I did call another dealership to be added to their list and was told the same thing. It has been 5 months and I purchased this truck to tow and I haven't been able to do that because as the recall states the brakes and/or lights may fail. It sounds like I'm not going to get this fix until 2027 and so I had to purchase a new vehicle because of Stallantis refusal to take this recall seriously.

Shortly after a "low oil pressure" message appeared the vehicle shutdown and coasted to a stop before a suitable place to investigate the issue could be found. Vehicle would not restart. An "low oil add two quarts message" appeared. Engine temp was ordinary. No issues observed under the hood. Oil was found to be dripping from the engine bay to the rear passenger area under the passenger side of the truck. Dealer mechanics diagnosed a catastrophic loss of oil and engine seizure. My wife and I were stranded approximately 800 miles from home and had to arrange for travel home. The vehicle is currently sitting at the dealership in Lincoln, Illinois awaiting my approval for an engine replacement, while I work out the details of a resolution with Ram Care/Stellantis.

Blind spot alert malfunction. April 21,2026 Dealer has had truck 7 week and can't fix problem,
While driving and coming to a complete stop at a red traffic light, the service brakes suddenly failed to hold the vehicle. With the brake pedal fully depressed, the vehicle unexpectedly began creeping forward into traffic. To prevent a collision with the vehicle ahead, I had to manually engage the electronic parking brake to force the vehicle to a stop. An adult passenger witnessed the failure. The vehicle was towed to Nyle Maxwell RAM in Austin, TX. The dealership stated no computer diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were present and they could not replicate the issue on a short test drive, releasing the vehicle back to me completely unrepaired. This is a severe, intermittent hydraulic or electronic braking failure that poses an immediate crash hazard.

Truck started on its own. Engine ran for 34 minutes until I realized that it was running and I shut it off. The truck was in a closed garage at home. In the attached photos/screenshot from my garage camera, the camera came on when motion was detected. The trucks headlight can be seen on.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
