Vehicle would not start. I put a new battery in, the vehicle still would not start, and the break pedal was stiff. Had someone jump the vehicle, i started it and drove to the dealership service department where I originally bought the vehicle. They said it may be the starter. but they hadn't looked at the vehicle. I told them I would drive to a different shop because it's cheaper. When I tried to put it in drive the vehicle would not move it was giving an error message on the dash. I had to leave the truck there. 2 days later they called me and told me the issue was caused by a recalled part and they fixed the issue. When I arrived they told me I would have to pay $215 diagnostic fee. I told them it's federally prohibited to charge for a recalled part. I had to argue with them to get my vehicle back. They told me next time I should tow the vehicle if I dont want to pay a diagnostic fee. I attached proof of the recall service and the $215 fee listed that they tried to charge me.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the trailer wiring pigtail produced only 9 to 10 volts to the trailer lights and brake system. Even when the brake pedal was depressed, the voltage output was insufficient. While towing a trailer, the trailer brakes failed to operate adequately. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, who stated that the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified, and a claim was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

I had to hard brake on a damp roadway at about 50 mph. The truck began to rotate and skid. I had no control over the vehicle until it stopped. The dash lights came on for a failure of the brakes, abs, traction control, and stability control. All of the lights went off then the truck seemed to drive normally. A short time later the lights came on and would not go off. Took the truck to the dealer. The hydraulic control unit was bad and was replaced. This did not fix the truck. Now it needs an abs control module. The truck remains at the dealer awaiting this repair. This appears to be a problem in the previous model year Ram 2500’s and it looks like my 2022 is affected also. There are recalls for these trucks but not for my model year.

1. Complete Brake Failure. No warning lights came on. There is no emergency warning system for Brake Failure. This could have been catastrophic. This could have turned deadly if we were driving on the highway with no warnings Dec 15, 2024 I drove the truck during the day on the highway and made various stops for Christmas Shopping. I went for dinner with my Family. After dinner climbed into the truck and depressed the break and started the truck. Once the truck started the break pedal could be pushed to the back floorboards. I know this was not right. Turned the truck off and started it again and up it in drive thinking it would correct. It did not turned onto a sidewalk put he truck in park and called a towtruck. 2. The 12" display goes black constantly. Even after several software upgrades. You cannot see heat/radio/ mapping/ phone system nothing it completely shuts down 3. Transmission, when you stop and then drive slowly, press the brakes lift off the brakes slightly the truck lunges forward so you really have to be careful or you will crash into the car in front of you.

My 2022 RAM 2500 only has about 10k miles and today when I started the vehicle in my driveway, the ABS and Traction control lights came ON. Did some google searching and found that this is a known issues plaguing RAM trucks since 2018! I'm going to call dealer tomorrow and hopefully this can be diagnosed and fixed promptly. However I'm not confident as I'm still waiting on a different RAM recall which dealer says the parts are only being released to each dealer in quantities of 1 per month. Paying $80k+ for a truck that can't be driven due to known manufacturers issues from 6 yrs ago is unacceptable. I hope NHTSA can help force RAM to address these issues.

the vehicle has been inspected by an independent engineer from Bosch, supplied by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), it indicates that an expert assessment has been conducted. In this case, the following answers can be provided based on that information: 1. Components or systems that failed or malfunctioned: - Half shaft axle front left - Wheel assembly - Brake rotor disc - Suspension - Drive shaft - Transfer case - Right front axle shaft - Right front caliper - Right front caliper bolts 2. Availability for inspection upon request: The availability of the failed components for inspection may depend on the specific arrangements made between the vehicle owner and the independent engineer from Bosch. It is recommended to contact the engineer or FCA for further information regarding inspection availability. 3. Safety risks: Considering the multiple component failures mentioned, there is a significant safety risk not only to yourself but also to others. These failures can lead to loss of vehicle control, compromised braking, and potential accidents or collisions. 4. Confirmation by the independent engineer: Since the vehicle has been inspected by an independent engineer from Bosch, it suggests that the problems have been reproduced and confirmed. The engineer's evaluation should provide valuable insights into the nature and causes of the failures. 5. Inspection by manufacturer, police, insurance representative, or others: The information provided indicates that an independent engineer from Bosch, supplied by FCA, has inspected the vehicle. However, it is not specified whether the vehicle or its components have been inspected by other parties such as the manufacturer, police, or insurance representative. 6. Warning lamps, messages, or symptoms: Over the past months and throughout the last year, you have experienced multiple issues with the four-wheel drive system and e

The brakes fail to work when applied. When depressing the brake pedal it sticks half way and requires continued pressing and release of the pedal before locking the disc. During the process the vehicle propels forward, creating a safety hazard that could result a serious accident and death. The malfunction occurs at low and high speeds.
