My screen on my truck went out and had to be reset manually, next my heated steering wheel stopped working. The problem is the cool spring in my steering wheel. Upon research there is a common problem with this said coil spring. This can cause multiple problems including loss of air bag function and front end collision indicator which comes on time to time saying it’s disabled due to this same said coil. Why this is not a recall and the owner’s responsibility is unknown. There is also no indicator telling you if the airbag may or may not deploy when need from this issue.

This vehicle is 3 years old and has 29k miles driven. The forward collision avoidance system stopped working and can no longer be turned on. This installed safety feature is no longer usable and is a risk to passengers in the event of a road Hazzard situation presents itself. The system failed without warning. The vehicle was taken into the dealer for inspection and the dealer confirmed that the Drivers Assistance System Module (DASM) has failed and requires replacement.

The radio screen will cut out and turn black randomly but will continue playing music. When this occurs, the screen will not turn back on even if the truck is put in reverse. This is a serious safety concern since the back up camera is inoperative. This has happened three separate times in the past month, and I have video of two instances that was provided to the dealership.

Vehicle has continuous ongoing issues since day of purchase with big screen radio display. System randomly changes screens and drops connection with source over and over again while vehicle is in operation. This is also affecting the rear parking assist sensor system making it work randomly at times and give false triggers or sometimes no triggers when collision is about to happen. The random screen changes are an EXTREME distraction while driving because the screen is extremely large in the center stack and when the image is randomly changing in your peripheral vision it draws driver's attention off the road. These connection issues also affect audio sources and make it necessary for the driver to interact with touch screen a ridiculous number of times per short drive further distracting the driver. There has been ongoing issues with this vehicle since the day I purchased it new. Multiple attempts by multiple different Ram dealerships to repair/resolve the issues with no solutions found yet. Actual radio unit in dash was replaced with 2 new units by dealers in attempts to resolve issues with no improvements. Dealerships have worked with Ram engineering and opened multiple STAR cases on vehicle in relation to these problems. Contacted Ram customer care multiple times and requested Ram buyback or deem this vehicle as lemon law vehicle. To date vehicle has been in for attempted service for these issues more than 4 times and would have been in 2-3 times this number of visits if not such an extreme inconvenience. Demanded Ram buyback the vehicle and have got pushback from them. Vehicle has been in service since May 2023, was purchased new from dealer with less than 100 miles on odometer.

I am driving in snowy conditions and am in danger. Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
