MOTORCYCLE FUEL LEAK
ODI has received eight complaints concerning 1993-1996 Suzuki VS800 Intruder motorcycle fuel leakage near the fuel tank petcock.The leakage rate is described as slight to moderate.To gather additional information about this issue, ODI is conducting this Preliminary Evaluation.

WHILE DRIVING AT ANY RATE OF SPEED MOTORCYCLE WILL COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. DEALER CANNOT IDENITIFY THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED REAR AXLE CAME OFF DUE TO NUT COMING OFF THE BOLT. TOOLS DON'T FIT THE AXLE. ALSO,THERE IS SOME VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING AT 60 MPH. *AK

AFTER THE MOTORCYCLE IS PARKED FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, WITH THE FUEL SWITCH IN ANY POSITION, THE FUEL LEAKS ONTO THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE MOTORCYCLE IS BEING REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. *AK
ON HIGHWAY ABOUT 70MPH WHEN MOTORCYCLE STARTED TO VIBRATE. THE WHEELS SPINNED FREELY ON RACK. BEARINGS WORE DOWN. NEEDED REPLACING. WHEEL WAS VERY LOOSE. DEALER TOOK CYCLE BACK & SAID IT WAS TIGHTENED & THEN RELEASED IT. *AK
