2007 Toyota Camry Driver assistance Problems

When I purchased this vehicle there were no problems, no lights on my dash, the trim all matched and was the color blue. Then after having a falling out with some family members I started noticing problems with my HVAC system. It started with antifreeze leaks then id fix it and the next week the radiator hose would be leaking again. I started really keeping track of everything about my car after that. Next I started noticing parts changed and parts missing. My VSC fuse block in the engine bay is completely missing now. Next I started noticing while driving my seat would move without me doing anything. The family member that I had a falling out with is in the HVAC union also. While driving I hear some type of switch click on and a gas smell starting coming out of my vents. Also I noticed after getting an aliment done that someone had adjusted the aliment bolts over night it's very noticable. You can clearly see where someone ran new electric wires for something. I went to the police 3 the mea about the issue but no investigation. Please help.

ALL OF A SUDDEN, ALL OF MY WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON INCLUDING: BRAKE LIGHT, CHECK VCS SYSTEM, ABS, ALL OF THE EXCLAMATION LIGHTS, ETC.. IVE BEEN VERY DILIGENT ABOUT THE MAINTENACE ON Y VEHICLE AND HAD THE CODES READ AND RESET, BUT THEY KEEP COMING BACK ON. THE MAJOR ISSUES ARE THE ABS, CATALYTIC CONVERTER EROR CODE & THE ABS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO BREAK. IVE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE MECHANICS ARE SAYING THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. ALSO, THE MIRROR VISOR ON DRIVER SIDE STOPPED WORKING & CONSTANTLY FALLS DOWN BLOCKING MY VIEW. ITS VERY DANGEROUS! PLEASE ADVISE TOYOTA OF THESE ISSUES. The instrument panel goes black while driving in daylight. Seems to be a non issue at night. You can not tell what speed you are traveling, if the car is running hot or how much gas is in the tank. Appears to be a major problem by searching for solutions. Many solutions have already been tried but seems to not fix the issue. Could be dangerous not knowing how fast / slow you are traveling. If you search this issue on [XXX] , you will see many owners have this same issue. I just purchased this car so do not know how long it has been an issue. Previous owner did not disclose this issue to me. I reached out to him but he has not contacted me back. I did buy it as is so there's that. I was driving my car when suddenly the speedometer started going from 0-60 back and forth, the rpms was all over the place, the brake light came on and stayed on and the lights was going from bright to dim, there was a couple more lights aluminized on my dash. After googling the problem that nearly caused me and my children to crash, there is so many people affected by this same problem in the 2007 toyota camry. Why hasn't this been recalled or class auctioned. Also my dash board is sticky like tar.

I was driving along and without warning the speedometer became erratic and then went to zero. As I was moving on a main road (limited access) I could not safely stop right away. Several other items on the instrument panel began to operate erratically. (These other items would not be considered safety items) Before reaching an exit or other safe place the speedometer began to operate again. I got off on a general main street and all seemed OK In a few minutes the problem returned and the speedometer went to zero again after becoming erratic first. I CAN NOT TRUST THE SPEED READING On a regular road or any road I may be driving to fast for some limiting condition or posting and not realize it. i AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND THAT OF OTHERS. This has happened several times and then goes away but I can not trust the reading

The contact had a 2007 Toyota Camry loaner vehicle from the dealer. The contact stated that after the vehicle was stopped at a red light, the contact drove the vehicle at an undisclosed speed when the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The brakes seized and failed to stop the vehicle immediately while the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle drove through an intersection and crashed into another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The air bags were deployed. The vehicle then crashed into two parked vehicles at another dealer, Appleton Motorcars Sales & Service (1221 W Wisconsin Ave, Appleton, WI 54914), and came to a complete stop. Appleton Motorcars Sales & Service contacted the police, and a police report was filed. The fire department arrived on the scene and helped the contact exit the vehicle. The contact was unaware if a fire department report had been filed. The contact sustained contusions on her chest, right leg, and right hand, as well as severe headaches. The contact later received medical attention. The contact's passenger sustained chest pain and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location. The dealer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with their insurance information. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle independently lunged forward while his foot was on the brake pedal and shifting gears without warning. The contact also stated that the failure would occur upon attempting to park the vehicle also while his foot was on the brake pedal and shifting gears. My car has a mileage of about 178K and just recently got a "Check VSC System" which apparently affects brakes and also manages stability in case of hazardous road conditions. Across the internet, people also have reported the same issue and in some cases, people have had brakes locking up once this warning came up. Per a recall from Toyota, this is being fixed by the manufacturer only within a certain date and mileage and I dont fall into either of these criteria. The part itself is very expensive to afford right now...would be appreciative if the manufacturer can provide a way to fix this for a nominal cost or for free. On July 11, 2021, my husband and I were driving to a location not far from our house, on a state road with a 45 mph speed limit, when "Check Hybrid System" and "Check VSC System" warnings began alternately appearing and I lost acceleration. I turned on my hazard lights and was eventually able to pull off on the side of the road. I turned off all power then restarted, at which point the engine resumed working and we were able to continue driving, but the "Check Hybrid System" and engine light warnings remained on. We were able to reset the computer system by disconnecting the negative terminal of the auxiliary battery (which had been replaced a few months ago) for ten minutes, but I travel over 700 miles at least monthly to take care of my elderly blind father, and I don't want this to happen while I'm driving on I-95, when it's much more likely to result in a serious accident or fatality.

THE CAMRY STARTED REVVING UP TO 1500 RPM AT STOP LIGHTS OR WHEN PULLING INTO PARKING SPOTS ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS, LOCAL DEALER COULD NOT FIND ISSUE AFTER HAVING CAR FOR A MONTH. THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR SAVED CODES, I JUST NOTICE THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE DROP WHILE ITS DOING IT SO ITS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. IT HAPPENS EVERY OTHER DAY USUALLY WHEN WARM OUT. I AM TOO SCARED TO HAVE MY WIFE DRIVE THE VEHICLE ANYMORE AND CANNOT JUSTIFY SELLING. HOPEFULLY TOYOTA WILL HELP FIGURE THIS OUT. DEALER REPLACED FUEL PUMP BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE.
