The wireless charging system in the car makes my battery in my phone very hot. It is located in the center console area. This could cause a fire. I know I am not the only person to have this issue, as I have read it many times in forums on the car. There needs to be some external cooling of some sort of design change.

I purchased this vehicle on March 14, 2026. On June 2, 2026, I reported to the dealership that the front bumper cover was beginning to separate from the vehicle near the headlights. The bumper appears to be inadequately supported because the plastic mounting brackets beneath the headlights do not provide sufficient structural support for the weight of the bumper cover. The dealership acknowledged the issue and sent my vehicle to its collision repair facility on June 23, 2026. I received the vehicle back on June 25, 2026 after repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the repair was only temporary. By July 20, 2026, the bumper had once again begun separating from the vehicle in the same location. I live in an extremely hot climate where summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F. It appears that the plastic brackets become soft or deform from the heat, causing them to lose their ability to securely retain the bumper cover. This raises concerns that the design and materials used are not appropriate for normal operating conditions in many parts of the United States. Based on my research, this is not an isolated incident. Numerous other 2025 Toyota Camry owners have reported the same problem involving front bumper separation at the headlight mounting points. Despite the widespread nature of this apparent defect, Toyota has not issued a safety recall or provided a permanent repair. I am concerned that continued separation of the front bumper could create a safety hazard if the bumper becomes detached while driving, potentially creating road debris or increasing the risk of a crash. Consumers should not be required to repeatedly repair a component that appears to suffer from a design defect. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue and determine whether the front bumper mounting system on the 2025 Toyota Camry constitutes a safety-related defect warranting a recall or other corrective action.
The front bumper clips are not suffient ti keep the bumper up on the front of the car and it keeps falling down shortly after being reconnected. I do worry about it falling off completely and unsure if it will or wont.

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that there was a persistent rattling sound coming from the sunroof assembly while driving at undisclosed speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection; however, the service department was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
On May 20, 2026, at approximately 14,600 miles, I discovered a stress fracture in the windshield of my 2025 Toyota Camry XSE immediately after going through an automated car wash. There were no prior warning signs, unusual sounds, or visible stress marks before the crack appeared. The crack originated at the driver's side edge where the glass meets the roofline at the bonded perimeter — a location inconsistent with road debris or external impact damage, which typically produces an impact point in the field of the glass rather than at the bonded edge. The crack extended downward approximately 5-7 inches in an arc pattern. There was no impact event. The crack appeared spontaneously under the mechanical stress of a standard automated car wash on a nearly new vehicle. The crack subsequently spread and created a reflective arc that directed sunlight directly into my eyes while driving, creating a significant safety hazard and impairing my ability to drive safely. I filed an insurance claim through Progressive and had the windshield replaced with OEM Toyota glass by Safelite on June 3, 2026. Note: Within 24 hours of OEM replacement, a second windshield failure occurred on June 4, 2026 while driving through Utah on I-70. This second failure suggests a potential systemic defect in Toyota Camry windshield glass rather than isolated external damage. A separate NHTSA complaint will be filed for this second incident once replacement documentation is complete.
Driver assistance

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the vehicle software had been hacked. While driving with the adaptive cruise control activated, the vehicle erroneously accelerated. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the infotainment center erroneously connected to the Apple CarPlay and Amazon Music services, and the message "Roads may be Icy - Drive with Care" was displayed, even though the temperature was 85 degrees. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100.
Issue #1: When driving the vehicle, the center display will stop working, audio and other functions remain working, however there is no display, including when the vehicle is in reverse, resulting in a loss of visibility when backing due to the camera not being displayed, this presents a safety issue as a safety feature (the reverse camera) is not working. When the vehicle was taken in to the dealer under warranty, the dealer stated if the unit was replaced that the issue would “just happen again” and the only solution offered was to wait for a software update. A case has been opened with Toyota on this matter and they are unable to provide an ETA on when an update will be available, and are refusing to replace the display under warranty. Issue #2: The front bumper is pulling away from the headlight assembly on the driver side, this issue was addressed with 2 Toyota dealers, hey stated the clips under the headlight have broken causing the bumper to separate, claiming it was due to an “outside element” as the hood has been repainted and doesn’t match the bumper paint due to a scratch on the hood, when this was explained, they then changed their story stating there was a repair to the bumper, which is also incorrect as I have owned the vehicle since it was new, they then changed their explanation again stating there was damage under the front of the vehicle which is also incorrect, the vehicle has never been in an accident and has no damage other than rock chips that have been corrected with touch up paint to prevent rust. This causes a safety issue as the bumper is no longer secure in all areas, which they are also refusing to cover under warranty.
Interior & seats

The driver's seat has an issue with the backrest where something inside the seat feels loose. The driver notices this during acceleration, braking, traversing rough roads, and turning. The dealership agreed that there is a problem and stated that the Tundra has a TSB for this type of issue, but there is nothing for the Camry.
Driver’s seat lumbar component pops when accelerating, breaking and sometimes randomly. It’s surprising and distracting causing a safety issue.

The vehicle has encountered repeated hybrid system and battery-related issues. Symptoms have included stalling, sudden loss of power, hybrid warning messages, charging/battery malfunction warnings, electrical system irregularities, and unsafe driving behavior. The exact root cause is currently UNKNOWN. However, based on the recurring issues and vehicle behavior, the concern appears related to the hybrid battery and/or associated electrical systems. The condition has affected the vehicle’s reliability and safe operation.
Pulling into driveway and Stepped on brakes at less than 5 mph and whole car started shaking out of nowhere (similar feeling to when you land on the runway in a plane). Steered sharply to not hit other vehicle and hit a tree. Car was inspected less than 3 days ago.
Engine

While driving at normal speed, the vehicle’s engine compartment caught fire without any collision or external impact. I pulled over immediately, and the fire originated from under the hood. The vehicle had approximately 25,000 miles and no prior mechanical issues. This incident occurred without warning and posed a serious safety risk.
The hybrid propulsion system in my Toyota Camry Hybrid malfunctioned. The vehicle displayed multiple warning messages, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure alerts. The accelerator pedal stopped responding, and the vehicle lost propulsion while driving at highway speed. The vehicle would not restart after coming to a stop. The vehicle has been towed and is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle lost power while I was traveling at highway speed during severe weather conditions (tornado and thunderstorm warnings). The car began rattling and shaking, then the accelerator stopped responding, and the vehicle gradually decelerated despite pressing the gas pedal. I was forced to activate hazard lights and maneuver to the shoulder. Multiple large trucks were traveling at high speed and did not immediately move over, coming dangerously close to striking my disabled vehicle. Because of the severe weather and approaching storm conditions, I was stranded on the highway in a vulnerable position. The sudden loss of propulsion created a significant risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The vehicle was towed after the incident. It has not yet been confirmed whether the dealer has reproduced the failure. The malfunction occurred suddenly while driving and has not been intentionally reproduced by me. The vehicle would not restart at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed following the incident. It has not yet been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Inspection by a Toyota dealer/manufacturer representative is pending (or currently in progress, if applicable). Approx. 15 minutes before reaching my destination, the vehicle began rattling and shaking unexpectedly while driving at highway speed. Shortly after, the rattling stopped, but the accelerator pedal stopped responding and the vehicle began decelerating. Multiple warning messages then appeared, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure.

UNKNOWN. Car manufactured in 7/25 but should be part of recall 25V869. Loud knock reported in 2025 and subsequent decrease in acceleration and gas mileage. Taken to dealership multiple times in 2025 to diagnose issue but no resolution.
While driving, the vehicle experienced an unintended side airbag deployment without any collision or impact. At the same time, the seatbelt locked, the vehicle came to a sudden stop, and a hybrid system malfunction warning appeared. The vehicle immediately became undrivable and was towed. The vehicle remains available for inspection and is currently under the manufacturer’s control. This sudden failure created a serious safety risk due to the unexpected airbag deployment and loss of vehicle control while driving. As a result of the incident, I sustained physical injuries and sought medical attention. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer. The manufacturer has stated they are unable to confirm whether the vehicle is safe to operate and the investigation remains ongoing. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. The event occurred suddenly and without warning. Law enforcement responded to assist with traffic safety and relocation of the disabled vehicle; no formal accident or crash report was generated.
Airbags

The contact owned a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was rear-ended, causing a chain reaction crash. The steering wheel became dislodged, and the steering wheel air bag failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard by the insurance company. The front and the rear of the vehicle were damaged, and the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The contact sustained a fractured sternum, fractured nose, and the right side of the face was bruised. The contact was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was treated for the fractures and bruises. A Police report was filed. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

As a result, I was pressured into paying for the repair out of pocket, despite this being a brand-new vehicle and a clear safety-related malfunction. I also contacted Toyota Motor North America to escalate the issue. Unfortunately, they declined to provide assistance or override the dealership’s decision, leaving me without proper support. I believe this situation raises serious safety concerns that may affect not only my vehicle but potentially other vehicles of the same model. A malfunction involving the airbag and seat belt systems could significantly increase the risk of injury or death in the event of an accident. For this reason, I respectfully request that the NHTSA: •Investigate this issue for potential defects in the 2025 Toyota Camry •Determine whether a recall or further safety action is necessary •Review the manufacturer’s and dealership’s handling of this safety concern That dealership was Hudson Toyota service centre which is located in jersey city New Jersey ,07305. Tires have a bad vibration and howling noise. Have complained to dealership several times since below 15k miles.... Dealer keeps deflecting.
The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving approximately 2 MPH into the garage, the vehicle stalled. The contact was unsure if the vehicle was running on the gasoline engine or the battery at the time of the failure. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact shifted the vehicle to park(P) and turned off and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was running normally. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that no errors were found when the vehicle was scanned. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V869000 (Hybrid Propulsion System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 1,900.

Exterior lighting

Left Headlight Issue - Roadway Shadows This report is based on multiple observations of the car's owner while driving a Toyota Camry hybrid 2025 at night time . At issue is that the left side LED headlight projects fixed black shadows onto to roadway, partially obscuring the driver's view of the roadway while driving. On 2 dealer visits, the dealer found the left headlight misaligned, and reported making adjustments to the left headlight. Despite these adjustments, the car owner continues to observe persistent roadway shadows from the left headlight while driving at night - based on car owner photographs of these projected black shadows, most recent photos on December 5-16, 2025 ( see attached). On a 3rd visit to the dealer in December 2025, the dealer was provided with the owners photographs. Yet, the dealer restated its position that the Toyota Camry hybrid's left LED headlight is normal, even though this left headlight has required 2 adjustments and roadway shadows persist. Unknown whether or not the headlight has/had a defect issue. In fact, the car owner's multiple photographs document and show fixed black shadows projected on the left roadway in front of the car, emanating from the Toyota Camry's left LED headlight.
This reports night-time driving experiences, during which the front left LED headlight projects/creates fixed black “shadow” images onto the roadway in front of the car, partially obscuring the driver’s far left field of view of the roadway. Despite adjustments of the front left headlight by dealer technicians, the left headlight “shadows”, while lessened, are still projected onto the roadway and represent a night time driving safety concern. Dealer technicians made adjustments to the left headlight projection on 2 occasions. (1 the technician reported that there seems to be “bubbles” in the left side headlight projection. Technician adjusted the left headlight’s aim to proper height. Technician reports that “shadow” on roadway is a normal characteristic of LED projector inside headlamp. (2 the technician reported that the left driver side headlight is slightly high and needed to be properly aligned. Technician reports that “shadow” marking on roadway is considered normal.

B-Pillar that houses drivers side seatbelt has a persistent rattling noise. I am afraid that something is loose inside and seatbelt will fail. A bolt, screw or washer sounds loose inside. It has been repaired 2 times. Taken back to dealership 3 times since first 2 repairs but Toyota claims unable to replicate. The seatbelt does not tight across my torso when I brake. Videos of defect have been provided. Active repair case with Gulf States Toyota. Claims manager Andre has called Northshore Toyota to attempt assist with repair. Headliner or glass panoramic sunroof is loose and rattling. It has been repaired 2 times. Taken back to dealership 3 times since first 2 repairs but Toyota claims unable to replicate. The box that houses lighting buttons above back seat and one speaker above driver's head is rattling and loose. I do not know if it is the glass above headliner causing the rattling. Glass may break while driving over bumps if it is not properly secured or air sealed. Passenger and driver's seat have defective lumbar components inside. Causes a safety distraction to driver. When vehicle stops or starts it hits or bumps driver or passenger. This is a documented defect of 2025 Camrys.

Tires & wheels

2025 Camry was dealer serviced at recommended internals. At the 24,000 mile service vehicle there was a "hum" from the front of the vehicle, and returned to the dealership. They confirmed the tires that had been on the back were moved to the front during the regular rotation and confirmed "consistent cupping on all 4" tires. The dealer informed us that all 4 Hankook Model Kinergy required replacement. The dealer would not provide a firm cause response. I asked for the alignment check and they confirmed it "was in spec at each visit and provided the report. The dealer inspects alignment and pressure at each visit and there were no findings of out of range. There is no warranty offered to the consumer on OEM tires, and the dealer provided an estimate for replacement in between $925 (same model which will absolutely not happen) and $1,250 for an alternate brand. In researching this issue, there are numerous reports of Hankook Kinergy GT tires OEM mounted and serviced failing between 5,000 and 24,000 miles, well below the warranty period. The arrangement between Toyota and Hankook does not support "tread wear" warranty and the only avenue for the consumer is full out of pocket replacement. When this information was passed along to the dealer, they asked for additional information and have agreed to "work with me" on cost of replacement and have requested a return visit to photograph the vehicle to submit a warranty claim. A Simple web search identifies a high instance of issues with this tire including a at least one safety recall due "tread separation potential". After presenting the dealer with the complaints filed and background, they have agreed to submit a warranty claim with Hankook but advised this will not likely provide relief. Regardless, these tires have documented failures in as little as 5,000 miles. And cupping/wear on all four wheels before the 4th service interval. Someone is going to be injured or worse. This needs a review!
The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry equipped with Bridgestone Puranza EL440tires (Tire Size: 235/45R/18). While driving approximately 75 MPH, the rear driver's side tire suddenly, the Tire Sensor illuminated. The contact was attempting to get to the nearest exit to pull over, but before being able to do so, the tire blew. When the failure occurred, it caused the rear bumper to detach from the vehicle. The contact moved to the emergency lane, where they noticed the tire had disintegrated. The tire was replaced with a spare tire and driven to their home. The contact stated their niece, who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time, had suffered a panic attack, at the time which caused their nose to bleed and necessitated medical attention. The next day, the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who confirmed it was a known issue with the tires and the tire was replaced. The bumper was reattached. The manufacturer was not informed. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.

I am reporting new issues with my 2025 Toyota Camry that started immediately after the dealer completed the rear-camera recall service. 1. Right-Side Wheel Housing / Suspension Problem Since the recall, the right side of the car makes a loud noise whenever I drive over small bumps or uneven roads. It may be related to the shock absorber possibly leaking fluid, but the exact cause is UNKNOWN. •The part is available for inspection. •This raises a safety concern because it affects stability and may indicate a failing suspension component. •No warning lights appeared. 2. Infotainment Screen Glitch / Electrical Issue After the recall work, the infotainment screen began glitching every time I start the vehicle, and while driving it sometimes shows a large red line across the entire screen. •The issue happens randomly but consistently. •It is distracting and may indicate an electrical or software malfunction caused during the recall repair. •No warning messages appeared before the screen failure. 3. Inspection Status The vehicle has NOT yet been inspected for these new issues by Toyota or any third party. The problems did not exist before the recall and began immediately afterward, although the exact cause is UNKNOWN. I request a full investigation and inspection for safety concerns.
Urgent safety complaint for my 2025 Toyota Camry SE. I feel unsafe driving this car, especially with my child, due to extremely premature and unsafe tire wear found at only 17,309 miles. Key Facts: Mileage: 17,309. Problem: Needed immediate replacement of 4 tires due to severe premature wear. Two tires worn to steel belts, risking tire failure. Faulty wheel bearing also diagnosed. Safety: High risk of tire failure. Unsafe feeling driving car, particularly with child. Maintenance: Regular tire rotations performed. Alignment done at ~9,000 miles. This severe wear is unacceptable and unsafe. My 2 prior new Camrys had tires last 45k-60k miles. Expected these tires to last at least another 25,000 miles / 1 year. Finding steel belts at <18k miles was shocking/unexpected. Despite the danger & maintenance history, Toyota dismissed concerns, blaming only the tire maker (Bridgestone). Toyota refuses to investigate potential vehicle causes (suspension, alignment specs, wheel bearing link) for this rapid, unsafe wear. Online research shows a pattern: other newer Camry owners report similar premature tire wear, possibly linked to larger factory rims. Extreme low-mileage failure suggests a vehicle safety defect. Urge NHTSA to investigate promptly to determine if a vehicle issue is causing this unsafe tire wear on these models, putting families at risk.
