The contact owned a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was rear-ended, causing a chain reaction crash. The steering wheel became dislodged, and the steering wheel air bag failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard by the insurance company. The front and the rear of the vehicle were damaged, and the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The contact sustained a fractured sternum, fractured nose, and the right side of the face was bruised. The contact was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was treated for the fractures and bruises. A Police report was filed. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

2025 Camry was dealer serviced at recommended internals. At the 24,000 mile service vehicle there was a "hum" from the front of the vehicle, and returned to the dealership. They confirmed the tires that had been on the back were moved to the front during the regular rotation and confirmed "consistent cupping on all 4" tires. The dealer informed us that all 4 Hankook Model Kinergy required replacement. The dealer would not provide a firm cause response. I asked for the alignment check and they confirmed it "was in spec at each visit and provided the report. The dealer inspects alignment and pressure at each visit and there were no findings of out of range. There is no warranty offered to the consumer on OEM tires, and the dealer provided an estimate for replacement in between $925 (same model which will absolutely not happen) and $1,250 for an alternate brand. In researching this issue, there are numerous reports of Hankook Kinergy GT tires OEM mounted and serviced failing between 5,000 and 24,000 miles, well below the warranty period. The arrangement between Toyota and Hankook does not support "tread wear" warranty and the only avenue for the consumer is full out of pocket replacement. When this information was passed along to the dealer, they asked for additional information and have agreed to "work with me" on cost of replacement and have requested a return visit to photograph the vehicle to submit a warranty claim. A Simple web search identifies a high instance of issues with this tire including a at least one safety recall due "tread separation potential". After presenting the dealer with the complaints filed and background, they have agreed to submit a warranty claim with Hankook but advised this will not likely provide relief. Regardless, these tires have documented failures in as little as 5,000 miles. And cupping/wear on all four wheels before the 4th service interval. Someone is going to be injured or worse. This needs a review!

When I drove my car earlier the car audio was maximum because I was listening to something quiet. Later that day I went to start a video that was much much louder. The sound blasted for a couple of seconds and my ears really hurt. I do not believe at this time that I have permanent damage but it is very painful. Cars should not start with the audio at maximum volume, this is a real safety hazard.

Tires have a bad vibration and howling noise. Have complained to dealership several times since below 15k miles.... Dealer keeps deflecting.

The wireless charging system in the car makes my battery in my phone very hot. It is located in the center console area. This could cause a fire. I know I am not the only person to have this issue, as I have read it many times in forums on the car. There needs to be some external cooling of some sort of design change.

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that there was a persistent rattling sound coming from the sunroof assembly while driving at undisclosed speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection; however, the service department was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

I purchased this vehicle on March 14, 2026. On June 2, 2026, I reported to the dealership that the front bumper cover was beginning to separate from the vehicle near the headlights. The bumper appears to be inadequately supported because the plastic mounting brackets beneath the headlights do not provide sufficient structural support for the weight of the bumper cover. The dealership acknowledged the issue and sent my vehicle to its collision repair facility on June 23, 2026. I received the vehicle back on June 25, 2026 after repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the repair was only temporary. By July 20, 2026, the bumper had once again begun separating from the vehicle in the same location. I live in an extremely hot climate where summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F. It appears that the plastic brackets become soft or deform from the heat, causing them to lose their ability to securely retain the bumper cover. This raises concerns that the design and materials used are not appropriate for normal operating conditions in many parts of the United States. Based on my research, this is not an isolated incident. Numerous other 2025 Toyota Camry owners have reported the same problem involving front bumper separation at the headlight mounting points. Despite the widespread nature of this apparent defect, Toyota has not issued a safety recall or provided a permanent repair. I am concerned that continued separation of the front bumper could create a safety hazard if the bumper becomes detached while driving, potentially creating road debris or increasing the risk of a crash. Consumers should not be required to repeatedly repair a component that appears to suffer from a design defect. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue and determine whether the front bumper mounting system on the 2025 Toyota Camry constitutes a safety-related defect warranting a recall or other corrective action.

The condition known as acid rain is caused by airborne chemicals or particles in the atmosphere, which mix with rainwater, nighttime dew, or high humidity to form acidic compounds. If these contaminants settle and remain on a painted vehicle surface, especially the horizonal areas of the hood, roof, and decklid, significant damage can occur. This damage is the result of actual etching of the paint and appears as pitting or water spots. As acid rain droplets on the vehicle surface evaporate, the concentration strength of the acid increases, causing deeper and more rapid damage. This evaporation and corrosive action also occur more rapidly on dark colored cars as direct sun heat increases. It is the dealer’s responsibility to protect and maintain the quality of the vehicle’s paint finish after receipt at the dealership prior to the first sale. In areas known for high frequency and/or concentration of acid rain, frequent vehicle washing during high heat or humidity periods will minimize the potential for paint damage caused by acid rain. It is further recommended that either reverse osmosis or deionized water be used to prevent water spotting.
STRUCTURE:BODY
Acid rain results from rainwater or other airborne moisture that become acidic due to industrial chemical impurities in the atmosphere. If these acidic compounds settle on an exposed vehicle, especially the horizontal areas such as the hood, roof, and decklid, significant damage to the painted surfaces can occur. Acid rain damage can typically be identified on vehicles by the presence of stains on the paint surface that resemble hard water spots. Unlike water spots however, acid rain damage cannot be removed by regular washing procedures. Also, because acid rain can etch and soften the paint, normal buffing or polishing repair procedures should not be attempted. This can cause further damage and result in visible depressions in the paint surface. The following are the three major categories of acid rain damage: •Minor damage: requires only buffing to repair. •Moderate damage: usually requires neutralizing, color sanding, and buffing. •Severe damage: extending beyond 1/2 mil of clearcoat on a pearl, metallic, or solid color, requires neutralization, sanding, and repainting. In cases where acid rain damage is minor, neutralization and buffing with a liquid-type paint finessing product may provide an adequate repair. Only specially formulated products outlined in this bulletin should be used for that purpose. Unfortunately, other than minor damage, there is no simple method of determining the actual extent (depth) of acid penetration other than color sanding a representative affected area until there is no visible etching or depressions, followed by measuring the amount of paint removed with either a magnetic or digital-type film thickness gauge. The procedures in this bulletin are intended for use by qualified body/paint technicians and should not be attempted by inexperienced personnel. It is the dealer’s responsibility to protect and maintain the quality of the vehicle’s paint finish after receipt at the dealership prior to the first sale. Perform frequent vehicle washing, as often as daily, during high heat and humidity periods to minimize the potential for paint damage due to acid rain exposure. This is especially important in geographical areas known for high frequency and concentration of acid rain and industrial fallout.

To prevent brake rotor rust from forming during transportation and storage, wheel film will be used instead of a cardboard type of anti-rust cover. The purpose of the wheel film is to shield the disc brake rotor from weather elements and initial rust before the vehicle is delivered to the customer. Consequently, the film should remain on the wheel for as long as possible.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
