When I tried to lock or unluck my car's driver's door, it wouldn't lock or unlock. I tried using the key instead of the "remote" opening but still took some efford. A closer inspection reveal that the little "hook" thing locking the door wasn't working properly. However, it had happened before that the door could only be unlock through physically using the key, and it has developed into a struggle to open it even with physical key.

Hit front passenger side at approximately 70mph. Did nearly $15000 damage. No air bags deployed.

A thumping noise on the driver's side can be heard at times when I encountered low spots. In addition, the rear brakes has grinding noise. Hendricks Toyota of [XXX] were made of the issues there times. On XXX during the schedule maintenance I asked that the hubs be removed again to check the noise. A ride along test drive was conducted by a technician. Due to rainy conditions it was noted that I would have to reschedule the test. The offical service records indicate the exact facts. I received a later email from the dealership stating they would not honor the return trip. A complaint was filed with the NC Attorney's General Office Consumer Protection. The dealership used deceptive practice and stated they had service the vehicle and never mentioned about the denied return for the inspection. They have been asked several times to remove the hubs but refused. As a 100% disabled veteran I relie on the vehicle for medical transportation and daily necessities to and from places. The vehicle has an intermittent loss of power/hesitation during acceleration. The issue has occurred multiple times since the vehicle was purchased new and is still occurring at approximately 42,000 miles while under warranty. When accelerating from a stop or low speed, the vehicle sometimes has little to no power, feels like it stalls or fails to respond, and then suddenly kicks in and takes off. This creates a safety concern because the vehicle may not accelerate when entering traffic, crossing an intersection, turning, or merging, and then may surge unexpectedly. The issue occurred again on May 22, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM while leaving a grocery store parking lot. The dash camera footage exists, but the hesitation is difficult to see clearly on video. There were no known warning lights or messages displayed at the time. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The issue has been reported to the dealership multiple times during service visits. The dealership has stated that the condition is part of the hybrid system/normal operation, but the concern has not been repaired or resolved. I believe this may involve the hybrid propulsion system, powertrain, throttle response, transmission/eCVT, inverter, or related software control system. The cause is currently unknown.

2024 Toyota Camry in 50000+ miles. While driving, a warning sign on dash stating Steering Power Low. Steering was loosing power became hard to turn. After few seconds, warning sign disappeared car went back normal. It happened times in last few days.

The driver seat cushion shield failed, the internal plastic brackets and clips broke from normal everyday use. The power seat switches are mounted to the driver seat cushion shield. Since there was no support for the cushion shield, the knobs on the switches that control the power seat would "pop off" and fall under the seat making it impossible for some drivers (especially older and/or overweight drivers) to be able to move the seat back in order to escape the vehicle in an emergency thus trapping the driver. This actually happened to me although it didn't happen during an emergency. The power seat knobs had "popped off" while I was driving and when I stopped and tried to get out, I couldn't move the seat back because there were no knobs and I was trapped for a while. I eventually wiggled myself free but if it was an emergency situation like a collision, I would have been trapped. The knobs popped off several times and I would just snap them back on but it was the flexing of the broken seat cushion shield that would push on the knobs from the inside and make them "pop off". I took my car to the dealer for warranty repair, they refused to warranty the repair because "EXTERNAL FORCE" caused the failure. When I asked what "EXTERNAL FORCE" causes the failure, the service advisor stated that JUST BY SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT CAUSES THE DRIVER SEAT CUSHION FAILURE. There is definitely a structural deficiency in their design if the failure is due to everyday normal use. Toyota has had TSB's on Tacoma and Tundra vehicles for their driver seat cushion shields cracking and they've upgraded parts to handle this problem. The problem on the Camry is potentially much more dangerous because the driver can become trapped because the power seat control knobs can pop off while driving.

I purchased a certified preowned vehicle from Fowler Toyota in [XXX] , and after complaining multiple times about my engine being too loud, a musty smell in my trunk, the attempting to clean my trunk and me pointing out rust spots in the trunk and the smell returning multiple times, and a sulfur smell that continued to get worse month after month, they finally listened to me the 3rd week of November and discovered that this car that had a previous cosmetic accident to the rear of the car before being certified, indeed had a failing catalytic converter, a misaligned trunk as well as a busted strut among other issues. There was exhaust getting into my car, causing myself, headaches, my [XXX] and [XXX] to take a nap as soon as I would pick them up from school every day for the last month that I had it before they took it in November that all of this resolved after I was given a rental. I also periodically on a weekly basis, took my pregnant daughter to her doctors appointment so she was exposed as well. My husband occasionally rode with me also among other people. After 3 1/2 months of my car being “fixed”, it was returned to me and I was told it was in perfect condition and Toyota corporate had inspected it. Approximately 10 days after picking it up, I took a long drive out on a highway with traffic lights on my way back. I started to fall asleep. I feel like I had bricks on my eyelids and it was only 3:30 in the afternoon. I almost crashed into a wall on the side. I rolled my window down and instantly felt better. I purchased a carbon monoxide monitor and after three days it registered and went off at a level of 49. I tried to take it in after calling the dealer that day, but they did not have a car for me. They only had a 4Runner that I’m not comfortable driving so I had to wait another 36 hours on a car. The next day, the carbon monoxide detector went off and registered at 315 only in a parking lot. The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the carpeting on the driver's side foot well was coming unglued on the left side, close to the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to have the carpet reglued. The vehicle was repaired; however, the carpet started to detach again from the vehicle's foot well, and the contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer and was advised that it was a known issue, and there was a Technical Service Bulletin: SB-0101-24 for the repair. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Some 2018 – 2024 model year Camry and 2018 – 2026 model year Camry Hybrid vehicles may exhibit the weatherstrip on the panoramic roof center glass peeling on the edges of the glass.
ENGINE
Some customers may experience a rough running engine with a MIL ON P140018 DTC. Upon further inspection, a loose C90/C27 connector pin at the EGR valve may be found. To correct this concern, please reference the repair section of this TSB.

Some 2018 – 2024 model year Toyota vehicles equipped with a Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB flash drive to update the map, points of interest, and system software.
Some 2005 – 2026 Toyota vehicles that have undergone water intrusion may exhibit a condition in which a musty odor is present. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to remediate the odor and address this condition. The purpose of this Service Bulletin is to provide general guidelines and procedures for odor remediation. This Service Bulletin provides a guide on how to prepare and treat the interior of the vehicle for odor remediation. Refer to the applicable model and model year Repair Manual and the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) website for the most up-to-date safety and precautionary guidelines.
