Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

VAN HOOL T2140 2007 THERE ARE POSSIBILITY TO HAVE TURBO FAILURE BY INSTALLING DEFECTIVE TURBO INTAKE PIPE BY MANUFACTURE. THERE ARE INSTALLATION DIFFICULTIES WHEN CONNECTING TURBO CHARGER AND TURBO PIPE BECAUSE OF LIMITED SPACE IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE WALL OF VEHICLE WAS INTERRUPTED TO LOCATE THE TURBO PIPE. VAN HOOL MANUFACTURE TRIM(CUT) THE PIPE TO INSTALLED. BECAUSE OF THAT ,PIPE LOST 90% OF THICKNESS. ORIGINALLY ABOUT 7MM IN DIAMETER OF THE PIPE BECAME 1MM IN DIAMETER. IT HAS BEEN COVERED BY RUBBER ATTACHED ON THE WALL TO BE HIDDEN. IT CAN NOT SEE BY REGULAR INSPECTION UNLESS YOU TAKE OUT PIPE. THE MANUFACTURE MUST RECALL THIS PIPE TO REPLACE. WE HAD TURBO FAILURE IN ONLY 90,000 MILES OF VEHICLE OPERATION CAUSED BY THE INTAKE PIPE LEAK. *TR UPDATED 10/27/10 *BF UPDATED IVOQ 11/01/10.*JB
