I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED THERE WAS A RECALL I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF ON THE LIFT SYSTEM OF THIS TRAILER. IT IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED HERE UNDER NUMBER 05V364000 . HOWEVER VIKING GIVES A STORY ABOUT WHO USED TO OWN THE COMPANY AND IS NOW OUT OF BUSINESS ETC, SO NOW I'D HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS MYSELF IF I WANT THE DANGEROUS CONDITION REMEDIED.

THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED ON AUGUST 18, 2005 FOR A POSSIBLE ROOF SYSTEM FAILURE THAT COULD CAUSE THE ROOF TO COLLAPSE (RECALL ID #05V364000) AND I WAS TOLD BY THE MANUFACTURER NOT TO USE IT. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2005 FOR REPAIRS AND IT HAS BEEN THERE SINCE, UNREPAIRED. Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
