VEHICLE IS WILSON TRAILER VIN # LISTED... THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL FOR THE SAME STYLE TRAILER BUT WITH A SPREAD AXLE CONFIGURATION. RECALL 526D NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V060000 COMPONENT(S): SUSPENSION SUMMARY:WILSON TRAILER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2000 THROUGH 2008 LIVESTOCK TRAILERS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN MARCH 1, 2000 AND AUGUST 1, 2008. THE CROSS CHANNEL BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION HANGERS CAN BREAK AND, IF UNDETECTED, OVER TIME CAN CAUSE THE FRAME TO FLEX CAUSING SEVERE CRACKING OF THE FRAME. CONSEQUENCE:THIS COULD LEAD TO A LOSS OF SUSPENSION AND INCREASE A RISK OF A CRASH. THIS TRAILER IS A CLOSE TANDEM CONFIGURATION. THE VEHICLE BROKE THE BAR BETWEEN THE FRONT SUSPENSION HANGER AND HAS CRACKED THE CURB SIDE FRAME RAIL. ONCE THE VEHICLE BROKE THE FRAME RAIL THE VEHICLE TRACKED SEVERELY TO THE CURB SIDE ALLOWING TRAILER TO TRACK INTO DITCH. VEHICLE WAS LOADED AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN MAJOR DAMAGE AND OR INJURY. IF ROAD SIDE FRAME RAIL WOULD HAVE CRACKED IT WOULD HAVE TRACKED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. VEHICLE HAS BEEN PUT OUT OF SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED. THIS IS ALSO HAPPENING TO 2 OTHER UNITS WITH THE SAME CONFIGURATION, BUT THESE HAVE BEEN CAUGHT PRIOR TO ANY ACCIDENT AND ARE OUT OF SERVICE. THIS WILL COST LARGE AMOUNTS IN DOWNTIME AND WILL RESULT IN A SEVER ACCIDENT POSSIBLE FATALITY IF THIS RECALL IS NOT EXPANDED TO ALL WILSON TRAILERS WITH THIS TIME OF FRAME CONFIGURATION..
