Component or System: Integrated Brake System Description of the Issue: The issue with the Integrated Brake System on my vehicle (VIN: [XXX] ) was fully resolved by BMW of Fort Lauderdale on January 13, 2025. All repairs were completed, including replacement of necessary components, as indicated in the attached invoice. Despite the repair being finalized, the recall status for my vehicle (NHTSA Recall Number: 24V104) still appears as “Incomplete” in both NHTSA and CarFax systems. This delay in updating the recall status is causing unnecessary complications, as the repair has already been documented and confirmed by the dealership. Request: I kindly ask for your assistance in ensuring that the recall status for my vehicle is updated to “Completed” in your system as soon as possible. All relevant documents are available upon request, and I can provide further details if necessary. Was the problem confirmed by a dealer or service center? Yes, the issue was confirmed and resolved by BMW of Fort Lauderdale. Were there any warning lights or messages before the repair? Yes, a warning message related to the brake system appeared prior to the repair. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The braking system of my 2024 BMW X6 (VIN: [XXX] ) is critically malfunctioning due to the unresolved safety recall 24V-104. The Integrated Brake System has failed, resulting in warning lamps and error messages on the dashboard. This has also caused essential safety systems, such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking, to stop functioning entirely. This situation is unacceptable and poses an immediate and severe safety risk. My family and I cannot rely on this vehicle, as it fails to respond properly when braking is required. It is unsafe to drive under any conditions. I have reached out to multiple BMW service centers in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida, but was told there are no replacement parts available to fix this critical defect. Service advisors advised me to drive carefully, which is an absurd solution for a car in this condition. I financed this vehicle at $1,600 per month, and now I am left with a dangerous and unusable car. I demand that immediate action be taken to resolve this recall, including expediting the availability of the required parts. I also request that I be prioritized and placed at the top of any waiting list to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. This matter needs urgent attention to ensure the safety of my family and others on the road. I urge NHTSA to intervene and work with BMW to find a solution for affected owners immediately. A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.

The Central Information Display (CID) side of the Multifunction Display (MFD) may flicker intermittently. Theflickering manifests itself in three phases: The image is distorted The central information display turns black (black screen) The image is OK again The complete flickering episode with all the above-mentioned three phases only lasts about half a second intotal each time.
ENGINE
Due to an implementation error in various OBD diagnostics in the vehicle's control units, in very rare cases itmay happen that stored fault memory codes (DTCs) and the MIL (warning light) are not automaticallydeleted even though the underlying malfunction has already been rectified. This does not comply with the statutory OBD specifications.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
In these vehicles with an S68 engine, an incorrect diagnosis of the Valvetronic (VVT) may occur. Undercertain operating conditions, the software may detect a short-circuit in the valve control system even thoughthere is no fault. When the above-mentioned fault occurs, the red Check Control warning light ‘Drive system fault’ illuminates. This can result in the intake valves closing gradually, which may lead to misfires while the engine is running.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
