got a check engine light on, took to dealer was a code 1098, the part is on back order told that it would not be available until middle of may, this happened to me at the end of march, now am learning that GM issued a recall on that part for their diesel Duramax engine, I think it is a GM wide problem.

The contact owns a 2021 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed on the freeway, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated around a corner, with the floor mat stuck under the pedal. The driver depressed the brake pedal for an extended time, but the vehicle continued accelerating. The driver pressed the park button, which slowed the vehicle, and the driver was able to pull over safely. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and the owner was informed about a possible recall. The dealer determined the failure was due to a stuck floor mat and sudden unintended acceleration. The front and rear brakes were replaced along with the floor mat. The floor mat was PN: 84734211. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000. The VIN was not available.

When I start at a low speed it's like it does not know which gear to go in. You push on the gas and it does not move much and then launches forward. It has done this since I purchased it in April 2025 used. When in auto stop and the engine starts up with my foot still on the brake, sometimes it will lurch and buck. Buick dealer did do a transmission fluid flush and it still does the same thing daily.

The contact owns a 2021 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert malfunctioned. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the side-view mirror illuminated erroneously while driving near a guard rail. Additionally, the contact stated that the side-view mirror had failed to illuminate while there was a vehicle in the blind spot. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the garage, the contact inspected underneath the vehicle and noticed that the bracket in the rear passenger's side bumper fascia had detached and was hanging by the wires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the bracket detachment was related to the failure. The dealer determined that the entire rear bumper fascia, the mounting brackets, and the clips needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the dealer needed to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The dealer contacted the manufacturer and was informed that 10 percent of the repair cost would be covered. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

This has happened about 4-5 times now, car has approximately 17.5k miles. While accelerating attempting to reach speed limit, transmission has slipped out of gear and power to wheels is not happening. Have learned to switch into neutral and then drive and transmission will reorient and grab the appropriate gear and reengage the power to the wheels. This occurrence does not throw off any codes so it appears random. Took it to the dealer and they said it would be two weeks before their transmission guy could take a look at it and try to recreate. Since it is not throwing codes, elected to continue driving since it usually occurs in the 25 - 35 mph range.

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
PI to help diagnose A/C concern
This Preliminary information communicates an issue with an OTA pending message still displayed after an OTA event and how to reset/clear the message.
This Preliminary information communicates to dealer to perform a MEC reset for wireless projection issues
Pi created to provide GM dealers with information on gathering information for projection issue
This PI communicates information on a SPS programming issue causing Serial Data Authentication Configuration to fail.
This preliminary information communicates information about how to determine if a wheel and tires size change is available.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
