1995 Chevrolet Astro Interior & seats Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the interior system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Interior & seats reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THIS VEHICLE AMONG OTHER VEHICLES MADE BY GM AND GMC HAVE A DEFECTIVE DOOR LATCH THAT FAILS AND WILL NOT ALLOW THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE TO GET OUT IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR VEHICLE FIRE. THIS PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND GM DID NOTHING TO RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED. OWNERS ARE PUT AT EXTREME RISK FOR LOSING THEIR LIFE IN AN EVENT WHERE THEY NEED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. PLEASE FORCE A RECALL SO THAT NO ADDITIONAL LOSE OF LIFE WILL OCCUR. *TR
