I HAVE HEARD IN THE PAST THAT CHEVROLET HAS HAD TROUBLES WITH THE TRANSMISIONS IN THE CHEVROLET ASTROS. I OWN A CHEVROLET ASTRO AND HAVE EXPERIENCED THE TRANS. SLIPPING I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION IN REGAURDS TO ANY FACTORY RECALLS OR HIDDEN WARENTIES FROM THE MANUFACTURE
CLUNK WHEN PUTTING VEHICLE IN GEAR, AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HOLD IN PARK AND REVERSE GEARS DUE TO POSSIBLE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. YH
KEY WAS IN IGNITION BUT THE ENGINE WAS NOT ACTIVATED. CHILD MOVED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION LEVER WITHOUT HOLDING DOWN THE BRAKES, WHICH RESULTED IN VEHICLE ROLLING AWAY. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE PARK PAWL DID NOT ENGAGE WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ROLL DOWN HILL WITH 2 CHILDREN IN THE CAR. THEN CRASHED INTO TREES, NO INJURIES INVOLVED. DEALER SAID INTER- LOCK SAFETY SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED.*AK
ENGINE STALLS OUT FOR NO REASON/ABS BRAKES DO NOT STOP VEHICLE WHEN BRAKES APPLIED/TRANSMISSION FAILS TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE AND INSTRUMENT PANELLIGHTS STAY ON DURING THE DAY. VEHICLE STILL RUNNING AFTER IGNITION IS TURNED OFF. TAKING TO DEALER AGAIN. *AK
BRAKE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED, CAUSING VIBRATION. MJS
LOUD CLUNKING/BANKING NOISE BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD GEARS; ALSO, FROM PARK TO DRIVE/DRIVE TO PARK; HAS NOT CAUSED ANY PROBLEMS AT THIS TIME. TT
THE TRUCK WAS IN PARK AND THE TRUCK SLIPS OUT OF GEAR THEN ROLLED DOWN THE HILL HIT A TREE AND AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY,THE SLIDING DOOR FEEL OFF WHILE GETTING OUT.
