The defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. The risk: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. The defect: CROSSROADS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 CROSSROADS CRUISER RECREATIONAL TRAILERS, MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 5, 2010, THROUGH DECEMBER 15, 2010. THESE VEHICLES WERE MANUFACTURED WITH INCORRECT INFORMATION ON THE FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION TAG, TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION LABEL AND THE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE CARGO CARRYING CAPACITY LABEL. THUS, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 120, “TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS.”
The risk: AN INACCURATE LABEL COULD LEAD TO IMPROPER VEHICLE LOADING SPECIFICATIONS WHICH COULD LEAD TO A TIRE FAILURE WHICH MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
The remedy: CROSSROADS WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND PROVIDE CORRECTED LABELS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT THOR INDUSTRIES AT 937-596-7965 OR CROSSROADS AT 260-593-2866.

TIRE COMPLAINT ON GOODYEAR MARATHON ST 235-80-16R. WE PURCHASED FOUR TIRES ON FEB 2014 FOR OUR 2012 CROSSROADS CRUISER FIFTH WHEEL VIN # [XXX]. WE HAVE HAD TWO BLOWOUTS IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR. EACH TIME THERE WAS TREAD SEPARATION. THE LAST EVENT OCCURRED ON MAY 15TH OF THIS YEAR. AS WITH THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, THERE WAS NO WARNING AND THE TIRES WERE PROPERLY INFLATED AND CHECKED PRIOR TO STARTING THE TRIP. IN REVIEWING THE OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THESE TRAILER TIRES FROM OTHER RV OWNERS, I AM SURPRISED THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ON THESE TIRES. BY NOT REACTING TO THE MANY COMPLAINTS YOU ARE PUTTING UNSUSPECTING RV OWNERS AND OTHER DRIVERS AT RISK.. The Detroit? special tools group has developed and released a robust NOx sensor socket, W470589060900. The socket will aid in the removal and installation of the NOx sensors.
