The defect: Cruiser RV (Cruiser) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Boss, Full House and Fun Finder Signature, 2018 Embrace and Striker FW, 2013-2016 Enterra and View Finder Signature, 2006-2016 Fun Finder, 2007-2015 Fun Finder Xtra, 2015-2017 Fun Finder Xtreme Lite and Shadow Cruiser Ultra Lite, 2016-2018 MPG, 2013-2017 Radiance, 2017-2018 Radiance Ultra Lite, 2010-2016 Shadow Cruiser, 2015-2016 Shadow Cruiser LE, 2017 South Fork, 2014-2018 Striker, 2009-2016 View Finder Lite, 2006-2007 Liberty, 2007 Land Roamer, 2009-2012 View Finder Toy Hauler, and 2006-2013 Fun Finder X recreational vehicles, equipped with certain Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. The risk: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Cruiser will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. The defect: Cruiser RV is recalling certain model year 2006-2013 Fun Finder, Shadow Cruiser, Fun Finder Xtra, Viewfinder, Signature, Radiance, Enterra recreational trailers manufactured January 1, 2006, through April 25, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.
The risk: If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. A person inside the travel trailer at the time will then be locked in and be unable to exit the vehicle without using the emergency exit, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Cruiser RV will notify owners, and Fastec will coordinate the inspection and replacement of the cylinders, as needed, free of charge. The recall began January 20, 2014. Owners may contact Cruiser RV at 1-260-562-3500 or Fastec at 1-800-837-2505.

I WAS TRAVELING ON I94 WITH MY 2013 CRUSADER FIFTH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILER AT 65 MPH WHEN A DRIVER SIGNALED ME TO PULL OFF THE FREEWAY. MY RIGHT REAR TIRE ( POWER KING TOWMAX ST235/80R16, DOT 83B5 GPB 3612) HAD THROWN THE TREAD AND CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION THE LEFT REAR TIRE WAS SEPARATED AS WELL. THROUGH ROAD SERVICE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO A TIRE STORE USING MY SPARE TIRE. THE TIRE STORE INSPECTED ALL MY REMAINING TIRES BEFORE REPLACING THE TWO BACK TIRES. THEY VERIFIED THE TIRES HAD THE CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE OF 80 PSI AND THE TREAD MEASURED 9/32". THESE TIRES HAVE BEEN MAINTAINED WELL HAVING LESS THAN 6000 MILES ON THEM. I CHECK THEM BEFORE EACH TRIP THEREFORE THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR THEM TO FAIL. I ALSO OBSERVED SEVERAL WEB SITES LISTING DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO MINE. THESE TIRES SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.

CPSC: X1480775. 2013 FUN FINDER TRAILER. CONSUMER STATED THAT HE HAD TWO PROPANE LEAKS IN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS. *LN THE CONSUMER STATED IN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS, HE EXPERIENCED 2 PROPANE LEAKS. THE FIRST WAS A LEAKING PROPANE BOTTLE HOSE CONNECTERS THAT HE DISCOVERED WHILE CAMPING. HE REPLACED BOTH HOSES AT HIS OWN EXPENSE. ON JULY 15, 2014, HE EXPERIENCED YET ANOTHER LP GAS LEAK, BUT THIS TIME IT WAS A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE THAT VERY WELL COULD HAVE RESULTED IN THE TRAILER CATCHING ON FIRE. ANOTHER MOTORIST ALERTED HIM THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. WHEN THE CONSUMER LOOKED OUT HIS SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR, HE SAW THE LP GAS HOSE AND ELECTRICAL WIRES BEING DRAGGER ON THE PAVEMENT ALONGSIDE THE TRAILERS TIRES. THE CONSUMER PERFORMED A VISUAL INSPECTION AND SAW THE WIRES AND PROPANE HOSE WERE IN SHREDS AFTER BEING DRAGGED ON THE PAVEMENT FOR QUITE SOME DISTANCE. *JB
