TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DAEWOO LANOS. BY RESEARCHING THE NHTSA WEBSITE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 04V357000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE FAILURE UNDER THE RECALL; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE $400 REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND HE HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REACH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
