WE OWE A 1999 DODGE 1500 QUAD CAB RIGHT AFTER THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WENT OUT THE DASH CAVED IN REALLY BAD. WE BOUGHT ONE FROM A JUNK YARD AND REPLACED IT HOWEVER IT IS CAVING IN NOW. THE GLOVE BOX JUST RECENTLY FELL OUT. THE OVERHEAD BOX THAT HOLDS YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER BROKE. I AM JUST WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE DASH AND AIRBAGS. I THINK A FORMAL INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED. *TR

I HAVE A 1999 DODGE RAM TRUCK 2500 SERIES 4X4. THE DASH ON THIS VEHICLE HAS TOTALLY CAVED IN AND FALLEN ON THE CONTROLS, AIRBAG, FAN AND WIRING. I CAN'T EVEN GET TO SOME OF THE PIECES OF THE PLASTIC. I HAVE READ AND HEARD ON THE RADIO/TV THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT A LOT OF DODGE OWNERS ARE HAVING IT ISN'T JUST ME. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH THE MATERIALS THAT DODGE IS USING IN THEY'RE PLASTIC AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THEIR DASHBOARDS. *TR

1999 DODGE DURANGO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. MOST OF THE TIME IT WAS WHEN VEHICLE WAS HOT, AND MULTIPLE STOPS WERE MADE. COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND GAUGES. MUST WAIT FOR VEHICLE TO COOL DOWN BEFORE IT WILL START AGAIN. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS IN TRAFFIC, AND IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS. *AK
