TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DUTCHMEN DENALI. THE PULLING VEHICLE WAS A 2017 FORD F-350. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE BEGAN TO SMOKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING AND SEAL FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WEIGHT OF THE TRAILER DIFFERENTIATED DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE TOWING VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT FOR EACH AXLE WAS 4,400 LBS AND THE GVW TOTAL AXLE WEIGHT WAS 8,800 LBS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A WEIGH STATION, THE TRAILER'S WEIGHT WAS 85,000 LBS. AND THE OVERALL MAXIMUM WEIGHT FOR THE AXLE WAS 10,500 LBS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DUTCHMEN DENALI RV TRAILER EQUIPPED WITH AKURET HF188 TIRES, SIZE ST225/75R15 AND DOT# 83B4HFA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE EXPLODED CAUSING THE FENDER FLAIR AND THE UNDER CARRIAGE ABOVE THE TIRE RIPPED OFF. THERE WAS NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEY DID NOT COVER TIRE BLOW OUTS. THE TIRE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150 AND THE TIRE MILEAGE WAS 150.
