Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.

InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Entegra Emblem, Vision, Vision XL, Jayco Alante, Precept, and Precept Prestige motorhomes, built on Ford F-53 chassis. The rear brake caliper attachment bolts may not be tightened correctly, which can allow the caliper to loosen and possibly damage the wheel or brake lines.
The risk: A damaged wheel can result in a loss of tire pressure. A damaged brake line can cause a brake fluid leak and reduce brake performance. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and Ford dealers will inspect and tighten the rear caliper bolts, as necessary, free of charge. In addition, any damaged bolts will be replaced, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 24, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

The wipers are erratic. This has been going on from 04/27/2024 to the current day. RV repairs keep trying to fix them but is not successful. It use to be the drivers side windshield wiper that would wipe erratically and would wipe beyond the window. Supposedly it was fixed and we went on a trip this past January 2026 and both left and right side completely wiped off of the RV, onto the hood got stuck and bent the wipers. We had to postpone our departure due to rain. The drivers side is so bad to a point that it was etching the windshields protective coating in the upper left corner. We have the RV at La Mesa RV, [XXX] , Phone: [XXX] . After reading your recall on the Ford trucks and SUV's it appears the wiper issue is effecting RV's too. 1) The windshield wiper on the driver’s side completely detaches from the window and becomes stuck. Despite being repaired three times, with the motor and arm replaced, the wiper still exhibits the same problem. 2) The only door to the vehicle fails to close properly. It pops open while traveling on the freeway. Even when parked and locked, the door remained wide open for eight hours with my pets inside. Fortunately, my dogs remained inside. As a result, we had to cable lock the door on the outside for the duration of our stay. This issue has been repaired ten times. The latch (bolt) on the door frame was relocated, and the deadbolt bore was enlarged. However, the recurring problem of the door opening persists.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
