2022 Ford F-150 Other / unspecified Problems

Rear axle bolt fell off and then car stopped being able to move. Axle spins no movement. I was driving while this was happening on a very busy road.. Thankfully I was able to stop in the middle of the road but not able to pull over. Had to push the car out of a busy road. Took truck to dealership and they stated there was no fix and that they shouldn’t give the car back but they did. Then the truck broke down 6 months later. No one has checked on it and there were no lights on dash telling me there was an active issue other than me knowing there was an active recall.

Driving approx 40mph on the road and a loud thump sound followed by grinding from rear end started. Came to stop in the road and when the gas pedal was pushed the grinding sound continued. The truck was pushed off the side of the road and had to be towed to the dealership since January 4th. It has been at the dealership with no estimate of time for repair from the dealership so far and we just keep being told there is nothing they can do. The dealership states that the parts are on back order and we are in a line of several other trucks with the same problem.

I have two recalls that I cannot get any assistance with Recall # 23S65 Rear Axle Bolt Breakage and new recall #25S75 which is Fuel Pump Riser. I have acquired services from four different dealerships and have taken photos and mileage to get repairs completed. I hear clicking noise in my truck and afraid of it causing serious damage and injury along with my fuel pump issue and bad gas mileage and noises when initial cranking my vehicle. I would like to know what dealership in Southwest Louisiana could I bring my vehicle in to resolve these issues that I have been dealing with close to a year. If not, what dealership will provide me courtesy like vehicle rental until completed. I currently of the Bubba Ostalet Ford 246 N. Broadway St. Jennings, La 70546.

To Whom It May Concern: RE: 2022 Ford F-150 – VIN: [XXX] Safety Recall Notice: 25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455 I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding ongoing and serious safety issues with my 2022 Ford F-150, which I purchased just over a year ago with 29,000 miles from Big Star Ford in Pearland, TX. From the beginning, my ownership experience has been marred by dangerous oversights and inadequate dealership service: •At the time of purchase, the vehicle was sold to me with a punctured sidewall tire, an issue that was never disclosed. I had no choice but to replace all four tires out of pocket shortly after purchase. •One year later, during my final complimentary Advantage Care oil change, the situation escalated dramatically. Immediately after leaving the dealership and merging onto a major Houston freeway, all lug nuts on the front driver’s side wheel came off, causing the wheel to partially detach. The truck swerved violently, and I narrowly avoided what could have been a catastrophic accident. I returned on foot to the dealership and notified them. To their credit, they retrieved the vehicle and provided a loaner. However, their follow-up response was alarmingly inadequate: •Initially, they only offered to repair one side of the vehicle, and I had to insist that both sides be serviced for safety. •I had to demand replacement of all four tires, which they reluctantly agreed to. •No goodwill services, warranty extension, or formal apology were offered, despite the clear risk to life and property. Now, I’ve received a safety recall notice (25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455) related to potential loss of fuel pressure, which could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly while in motion. Ford currently has no available remedy for this serious issue, which again jeopardizes the safety of myself and my family. Have contacted 2 different Ford dealers starting from November 2024, when I bought the truck, to get this recall repaired. Dealers tell me they'll order the parts and get back to me, but never call me back. When I call them they tell me there's nothing they can do. This recall was issued in August of 2023. I've recieved 4 different recall letters since November of 2024 for different probmems related to my truck. It's been 2 years that have gone by with no remedy to repair this recall of the axle bolts breaking...I guess they're waiting until I'm in an accident and sue them before they'll do anything....This is BS...!

Started truck then we heard a loud pop, similar to a gun shot. Then we heard crackling through the speakers. Audio volume controls were ineffective as well as radio on/off controls. Turned truck off and restarted no pop this time but the crackling continued. I called my local Ford dealer to schedule a service appointment for the next afternoon. Then next day when I was driving the truck to work the crackling continued for several minutes then the sound system went back to normal. That afternoon, 12/4 after work I drove the truck to the dealer I had purchased the truck from to drop it off. I reported the situation to the service advisor and he said since the sound system does not throw codes it would not be able to be diagnosed unless the problem duplicated itself which I would have to leave the truck for an extend period of time.

I have a 2022 Ford F-150 Platinum with B&O Sound system. Yesterday, while driving I experienced a loud boom followed by loud staticky crackling sounds coming from the sound system. I thought I had been hit by another vehicle or somebody had thrown something at the car. I stopped immediately to see if glass was broken and got out of vehicle for fear it was going to burn or blow up. The crackling sound continued even after turning off the sound system and turning off the vehicle. The crackling continued for approximately 30 minutes. This morning, I started the car and the crackling sound was not present. This is a safety issue because it caused me to be alarmed and behave in abrupt manner to get out of the car, and may have even caused hearing damage.

No audio or music played. Thinking it would go away, I continued out of our neighborhood. When it didn't, I stopped and turned the truck off, as well as locking the vehicle, with the same crackling noise coming from the speakers despite everything being shut off. Turned the truck back on and went through audio settings. The only thing that made it stop was switching from "Stereo" to "Surround" mode in the settings.

The front of the truck started smoking when it was pulled over at a gas station on 07/26/2024, the hood was too hot to open, and the front of the truck proceeded to start on fire. It took the fire department 20 minutes to arrive on the scene at which point there was not much left of the front of the truck. Everyone was able to get out of the vehicle and no injuries occurred. The truck is obviously totaled, but we are unaware as what caused this truck to blow up.

This morning, as soon as I started the vehicle and started backing down the driveway, an unbelievably loud popping sound emitted from the speakers. I immediately slammed on the brakes having no idea what had just happened. This has happened previously but have not heard in a few months so I thought the problem was corrected. It is the loudest noise I have ever experienced and is extremely dangerous as it happens at different times and is just ear splitting. My ears are still ringing and it happened at 8:45am this morning.

The wheel wells on the front of my vehicle do not properly fit the well. One has been replaced twice the other once and recently the dealer made the decision to cut the wheel wells so they would no longer rub. I was told it was the best they could do. The other choice is to keep replacing them when they fail. I am concerned that somthing from the road may fly up in their and get lodged in the exposed under section. I feel there should be another alternative but Ford doesn't want to pay to get a resolution. If those well covers were not needed they wouldn't have them n their in the 1st place. So I know they are needed.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and turning, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front end. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the integrated wheel end needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

Loud, oscillating static through speakers when starting vehicle. Measured at 106db. Audio controls non-responsive. Shutting off vehicle and opening door eventually caused it to stop. Resumed again when restarting vehicle. Eventually stopped after letting it sit 30 minutes. This is extremely dangerous. Not only is this a level that can lead to hearing damage, but if this happened while driving, it could easily result in an accident.

Vehicle started making EXTREMELY loud popping noises from all speakers. This occurred at start up and repeated several times. I turned off the vehicle and did not drive but I’ve now researched and found others with the same truck system’s experiencing the same and some crashes have occurred. There does not seem to be any Ford representative acknowledging the problem so I wanted to report it.

Upon starting my pickup after work a loud static sounding noise was heard coming from the speakers in the rear doors and in the A pillars of the vehicle. I was unable to get the noise to stop even if the radio was turned off. I had no control of the volume coming out of the speakers and it seemed that it was as loud as they could go. The noise was not always constant, sometimes quieting down for 10 to 15 seconds at a time. However, I have a half hour drive to get home and this sound was continuous for the entire drive. The noise was loud enough that I feel hearing protection would be required to operate the vehicle. I drove the vehicle to the dealership where I had purchased it and made an appointment to have the issue resolved.

This has happened to me 3 times now. When I start the truck, a loud pop can be heard and then an extremely loud static noise starts throughout the entire truck. All speakers produce loud static and popping sounds. I took this to the dealer and while happening and the dealer had “no idea” what to do. The only remedy I’ve been given is to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and reconnect. This makes the awful sound stop. This happened while drive and almost caused me to crash twice. There is talks of this on forums happening to other truck owners with the BO Unleashed sound system. Ford, NHTSA please create a TSB and figure this issue out. It affects my hearing every time the static and popping starts. Forums have said the Digital Sound Processor is a part of the problem when streaming with Apple car play or android auto. I spent $70K on this truck and am tired of this happening. please please get this issue fixed or else it will cause a serious crash. This has occurred three times from years April 2022-December 2023!!!!

I was driving this morning and out of nowhere, my radio starting making the loudest noise I've ever heard (x3). Louder then a darn gun shot. I almost had an accident because I thought the truck was exploding. Had to slam on the breaks and jump out. Dealership was no real help, so had to walk all the way home to get noise canceling headphones so I could reenter the vehicle. Re-entered to a burning smell. Called Ford and was told to try and remove and reinstall the battery. I did this and it fixed it, but now driving with noise canceling headphones and can't have anybody in the car out of fear for hearing loss. Sitting here at my desk with ringer ears and bad headache.

There has been times when for no reason at all I will start up the vehicle and a loud static pop sound comes out of the speakers. Then after that the sound will go on and off throughout the speakers, I have no way of turning it off, I even try to turn off the vehicle and let it sit of a minute and get back in and start it, it did not go away. I had to drive it with the static noise going on. But after I get to my destination, and park the vehicle. Let it sit for a couple of hours, then I get back in the car and the sound is gone. I have try to complain to ford, and they keep on telling there's nothing they can do.

Randomly and suddenly while driving on OH State Route 98, my vehicle started a ROARING audio expulsion that could NOT be stopped. It was coming from EVERY speaker and at MAXIMUM volume and lasted for about 45 minute. I tried audio controls, I pulled over on the side of the road and shut down my vehicle. I opened my door to "complete" the computer shut off. I tried randomly pulling fuses to no avail. I did NOT have tools to remove the battery connection. It produced such power that a distinct odor of electrical fire was present. I did NOT witness flame, but I was very worried it was soon to happen. I drove to dealer. All controls SEEMED to work normally. The audio was dangerously loud and we recorded a video / audio.

On start, a loud "pop" was heard and the audio system went into full volume static and other sounds. Radio could not control it, on/off or volume, nothing would stop it. sound was deafening and lasted as long as the ignition was on. turned off ignition, yet it kept on regardelss of what I did with any interior controls. Sound was deafening and as I came to a stoplight, I could not hear the siren of an ambulance approaching from the left. I could not hear the siren due to the noise in the cabin! No way to stop the noise except after shutting down the ignition and leaving it alone for 15minutes........and it turned itself on again even after I had left the vehicle!

Truck speakers randomly emit excessively LOUD pops and static. Took in truck for service and they “couldn’t replicate.” This was at a Ford dealer in Mew York. Gave truck back. It has done it everyday since and it’s so loud it’s almost like I’m in a concert. It lasts 5-10 seconds. It causes disaffections when driving as well. First time it happened I thought something broke a window. I saw many complaints posted about this through NHTSA and found online via [XXX] that Ford issued a bulletin for this fix but my service department at the local dealership didn’t bother to fix it. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the truck in late 2022. This was my first attempt to have it fixed. The loud sound of shattered glass and of glass cracking played over the sound system. This is the second time it has happened to us. Turning off the F150 and opening the door did not help it stop. This is very scary when driving. Since it happened before, I didn’t panic this time, but it is a reoccurring problem that could contribute to an accident.
