2019 Ford F-350 Sd Engine Problems

The contact called on behalf of a Federal Agency that owned a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the message "Reduce Power Mode" was displayed. The driver pulled over to the side of the road, and the vehicle shut off. The driver became aware of smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The driver opened the hood and became aware that the engine compartment was engulfed in flames. The driver attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers; however, the fire persisted, and the vehicle was completely burned. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. While sitting at a stop sign, the fuel supply line blue off the fuel filter under the hood. Straying diesel fuel all over. The white clip that hold the hose on had crumbled apart, It soaked the engine with fuel and we were lucky it did not start a fire. The fuel line was reattached and it then blew off again. I had to replace the entire fuel line at a cost of around $1000. Prior to the first event the filter had been on the truck and was being serviced every other oil change in line with the manufactured guidelines. When looking on line this is a major problem with the fuel line and under hood filters causing fires. This needs a repair before more people are hurt

I have about 54000 miles on a 2019 ford super duty 350 with the Power stroke 6.7. Engine light went on and its at Willowbrook ford in Illinois. Emission problem with Particular Sensor code 22e02. The cost of repair is between $816 plus another $1259 if it is cracked. This is absolutely ridiculous. After researching this is a big Ford problem. So they sold some trucks without them and have eliminated them on their 22 models. I think Ford should be responsible for the cost.

[XXX] my 2019 ford f350 extended cab 4x4 6.7 diesel engine caught fire while i was driving on [XXX] i was pulling a small gooseneck horse trailer with 2 live horses inside. I was traveling at 60mph. no modifications to the truck, everything stock. a car pulled along side me pointing to the front of the truck yelling your on fire. immediately got off on an exit ramp, the truck engine died and i lost all power . i tried to put it in park nothing happened. the truck and trailer started to roll backwards off an embankment. i got the emergency brake on. my wife and i exited the truck the whole front end was on fire 50 ft + flames . we got the horses out and away .according to parkhills mo. fire dept truck burned to the ground in less than 15 minutes. they stated it was a fuel fed fire. all the fire crew and responding police officers stated it was a common occurrence for that model ford to catch fire . this truck had 19,967 miles no modifications. no warnings ,no fuel smells .nothing to indicate any problems. truck went from running perfect to burned up in less than 15 minutes. total loss of the truck along with all my personal belongings. we were lucky ourselves and our horses escaped. Due to a recall, the Vehicle computer was reprogrammed by local dealer, Griffith Ford, in San Marcos, Texas. After the reprogramming, the engine and transmission starting to rev differently and could not shift gears smoothly as previous to the reprogramming. The transmission and engine does not synchronize correctly. The transmission tries to do more than 6 speeds when the transmission is a 6 speed transmission. Turbo is also not as smooth as previously. Possibly the new program used to reprogram the computer is either for newer vehicles with different engines and/or transmissions.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated that the vehicle started to lose motive power while driving 70 MPH. The "Power Reduced Mode" message was displayed, and the contact activated the hazard lights and pulled over to the shoulder of the highway. The contact restarted the vehicle however, the failure persisted while driving back to the residence. After arriving to the residence, the contact used a code reader and retrieved a code for a fuel system leak. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed. The contact received a call from the dealer and was informed that there were metal shards from the fuel pump found in the fuel tank. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 164,000.

When you drive this truck for extended periods of time the entire instrument cluster shuts off loosing blinkers lights and any indication of speed, among that if you're towing a trailer the trailer lights shut off, ford has tried fixing it under warranty to no avail, now the truck is out of warranty and the issue is getting worse and they're not sure what's wrong. Truck refuses to regen. Find a service bulletin for known MAF problems on the 6.7 engines. This issues cause truck to go into limp mode and can shut truck off with little to no notice. Leaving people stuck possibly in the middle of the road. Cost over $1100 to fix. How is there no recall or even warning to owners that this may be an issue? An OBD2 engine code of P2002 came up, so I took it to my local Ford Dealership. While it was at the dealership, I did a little research and found out that this crack on the DPF filter was a common occurrence on 2017-2020 F250 and F350 Powerstrokes. Ford is aware of this problem but they told me that my warranty would not cover this, as it was a "filter"! This crack is located on the piping right before a flange connection! It is a factory weld that is cracking in every one of this diesel trucks! I was quoted a repair cost of over $6300 ! This is outrageous and I refuse to pay this much for a "filter " because only the dealership can replace it!
