The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while the vehicle was in the automatic car wash, water entered the vehicle from the front windshield. The water leaked into the fuse box and short-circuited the fuse box. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was determined that the seal around the windshield needed to be resealed and the fuse box replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle abruptly came to a complete stop. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed and determined that the transmission had failed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred 2 additional times. Due to a recall, the Vehicle computer was reprogrammed by local dealer, Griffith Ford, in San Marcos, Texas. After the reprogramming, the engine and transmission starting to rev differently and could not shift gears smoothly as previous to the reprogramming. The transmission and engine does not synchronize correctly. The transmission tries to do more than 6 speeds when the transmission is a 6 speed transmission. Turbo is also not as smooth as previously. Possibly the new program used to reprogram the computer is either for newer vehicles with different engines and/or transmissions.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and towing a trailer, the vehicle abruptly came to a complete stop. After a visual inspection, the contact observed that the passenger’s side rear axle had separated from the driveshaft. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the passenger’s side rear axle shaft requiring a replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V688000 (Power Train) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle has approximately 73K miles and approximately 3 months ago the transmission started hard shifting in 2nd gear. There have been several incidents where I have almost had accidents due to this. Ford will not replace the transmission despite the internet being flooded with persons saying they are having the same issue with the same year, make and model.

I WAS DRIVING AT 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE STARTS SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. I HAD PRACTICALLY NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS IT WAS SWERVING ALL OVER THE ROAD. ALL I COULD DO WAS HOLD ONTO THE STEERING WHEEL AND SLOW DOWN AS I VEERED INTO THE GRASS MEDIAN BETWEEN THE TWO FREEWAYS. I HAD MY 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND ITS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A 70K VEHICLE TO BE THIS UNSAFE. IVE CONTACTED FORD AND THEY PRETEND AS IF THIS ISNT AN ISSUE BUT IF THEY DONT GET THIS FIXED PEOPLE WILL DIE. THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN A WEEKS TIME ON A 2019 FORD WITH 33K MILES ON IT.

HI, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TOLD ME TO EMAIL YOU ABOUT MY LEMON FORD 1 TON SUPER DUTY TRUCK VIN # [XXX]. IT'S SITTING AT FORD IN ST. CLOUD MINNESOTA WAITING ON A PART. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL SAID THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT IT DUE TO A BOLT BEING LEFT INSIDE OF THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING DURING THE MANUFACTURING OF THE TRUCK, CAUSING IT TO LOCK UP TEMPORARILY AFTER I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD.
