fuse box is allowing moisture in causing horn to not stop and truck to remain running. Ford has updates in their manual that this is a problem but no recall issued.
While traveling with my fifth-wheel camper attached, my 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty (6.7L Power Stroke) suddenly developed a complete no-crank condition. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed multiple electrical warnings, including U0100 (Lost Communication with PCM), High Engine Temperature, AdvanceTrac, Blind Spot System Fault, Hill Start Assist, and Pre-Collision Assist warnings. The vehicle ultimately became disabled and would not crank or start, leaving me stranded away from home while towing a trailer. Repair Description After troubleshooting the vehicle, I discovered severe internal corrosion inside the under-hood Battery Junction Box (BJB). The corrosion appeared consistent with Ford Technical Service Bulletin 23-2133 regarding moisture intrusion into the Battery Junction Box on certain 2020–2022 Super Duty trucks. I purchased a genuine Ford replacement Battery Junction Box from a Ford dealership and installed it. Immediately after replacement, the vehicle started normally and all warning messages disappeared. I retained the failed Battery Junction Box and have photographs documenting the internal corrosion. Safety Concern My concern is not simply the repair cost but the safety implications of this failure. The vehicle became completely disabled while towing a fifth-wheel trailer during travel. A sudden electrical failure affecting the Battery Junction Box can leave occupants stranded and may create hazardous situations if it occurs in remote locations or during travel. Because Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin addressing moisture intrusion into the Battery Junction Box, I believe this condition should be evaluated to determine whether additional action is warranted.

I have been waiting over a year for this low pressure fuel pump recall and it has stopped me from driving long distance to visit my daughter where part of the trip is hoursbthrew the Nevada high desert with extreme heat and NO CELL SERVICE. I AM FED UP AND NEED YHISNISDUE REDOVLED NOW OR A NEW DARN TRUCK. PLEASE ADVISE

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), 25V686000 (Back Over Prevention), 26V104000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting), and 26V204000 (Visibility); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer stated that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V686000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that while in reverse(R) on several occasions, the rear-view camera was black. The contact stated that on one occasion while his wife was driving the vehicle and shifted into reverse(R), the camera went black, and the vehicle reversed into a cement pole. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the vehicle was not diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that the part to repair the vehicle was not yet available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

Steering

2022 F350 SRW, King Ranch, Tremor Steering column began making clunking sound when hitting rough patches on highway. I then noticed that I was able to lift the steering wheel an inch or two up and also pull it towards me two to three inches and freely push it back in. I could wobble the steering wheel side to side as well. Felt very unsafe as I was on a 7 hour trip home. No warning lights or incident that contributed to problem

The contact stated that the steering wheel had separated, but the driver was able to reattach the steering wheel and regain control of the vehicle. The contact was able to depress the brake pedal and pull over to the side of the road. There were no warning lights illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V626000 (Steering). A Ford technician inspected the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 63,019.

NHTSA Complaint Draft Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2022 Ford F-350 VIN: [XXX] Recall Campaign: 25S75 / 25V455 Mileage: 38606 Problem Description: My 2022 Ford F-350 is subject to recall 25S75/25V455 (low-pressure fuel pump failure). Ford notified me on July 8, 2025, that no remedy is currently available. The recall states the fuel pump can fail, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure and engine stall while driving. This creates a serious safety risk of crash or injury. Despite acknowledging the defect, Ford has not provided a remedy, a timeline for repair, or safe alternative transportation. I feel unsafe driving this vehicle, and I am still financially responsible for it. Safety Concern: The risk of the engine stalling while driving, especially at highway speeds, creates an immediate danger to myself, passengers, and other motorists. Resolution Sought: Require Ford to provide a safe loaner or rental vehicle until a remedy is available, OR Require Ford to buy back or pay off the balance of this unsafe vehicle until the defect is resolved. The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350. The contact stated the check engine warning would illuminate on cold starts and would remain illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Reductant Heater and Sender Assembly on the 6.7L diesel engine needed to be replaced. The mechanic related the failure to Ford Customer Satisfaction Program Number: 18M01(Reductant Heater and Sender Assembly Repair). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that the VIN was not included, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.
Brakes

Trailer Brake Module Failure message at start up. I no longer have any trailer brake function. I was towing when this happened.
This is not a failed component, the issue is a design interaction issue. This truck when it gets stuck as it unfortunately very easily does even on wet grass goes into a traction control mode where the throttle is VERY damped but the issue is not only is the opening very dampened the closing is also VERY damped. This is made significantly worse by the fact that traction control cannot actually be disabled. There is a switch and it indicates it is disabled but the functionality remains the same. This combination means whenever you're working to get the truck unstuck, like yesterday when it was on wet grass you have to expect that the vehicle will suddenly accelerate as soon as it finds traction. normally you can counteract this by expecting to apply significant brakes as soon as it finds traction but if the front wheels are still on a slippery surface the ABS system will lose it's mind and essentially disable brakes as the vehicle accelerates violently backwards with the new found traction. This combination of software decisions makes it so you can very easily replicate an unintended acceleration scenario where the vehicle jumps back a solid 20' when this happens, not respecting any brake input given by the driver and certainly not respecting that the throttle was released long ago. The throttle closing should not be damped when traction control is running and the ABS system should not be behaving the way it does. I understand getting the vehicle unstuck from wet grass is not normal operation but that's what the traction control disable button should be for and Ford makes that button useless also. When taken together, all these engineering decisions make for a very unsafe situation that has zero reason to exist. I've attached pictures that show the overview of the situation as well as the characteristic ABS marks showing that it was disabling brakes.

While flat towing my 2022 Ford F‑350 behind a motorhome using Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode procedure, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic transmission failure. The Ford dealer documented this clearly on the service invoice: “HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS FLAT TOWED.” After the tow, the truck had severe slipping, delayed engagement, high RPM with no movement, and a wrench light. The dealer confirmed fault codes P0741, P1744, and P27B4. The dealer found catastrophic internal damage: “fluid is burnt with metal debris… filter is packed with metal debris… torque converter has came apart and filled transmission with metal debris… it is catastrophic failure.” These components are available for inspection. The dealer also documented a low battery condition: “batteries. low state of charge.” Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode relies on electronic control modules that require stable voltage, but Ford provides no warning that low voltage can cause the transfer case to exit Neutral Tow Mode. This creates a safety risk because the transmission can be rotated internally without lubrication while being towed, which can lead to sudden drivetrain lockup or loss of control. The problem was confirmed by the Ford dealer, and the vehicle was fully inspected by them. The only warning symptom occurred after towing: wrench light, slipping, and no movement. There were no warnings during the tow itself. This failure mode is not disclosed by Ford and cannot be detected or prevented by the owner.
The fan clutch assembly failed and as a result the drive mode would not change from tow/haul mode to any of the other 4 drive modes. Accelerations and decelerations were negatively affected as a result creating safety hazards when driving. The engine was always responding as if a trailer were attached and subsequently accelerations were difficult and decelerations consistently utilized the trailer engine braking system, similar to semi-trucks utilizing the Jake-Braking systems, This is a significant safety issue and needs to have a recall issued for the replacement of these fan clutch assemblies.
Visibility

The contact stated that while driving approximately 45-50 MPH, in snowy weather, the front driver's side windshield wiper fractured, and the contact pulled over to manually wipe the window. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under Ford Campaign Number: 22S26 (Both Front Wiper Arm Replacement) because the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed the dealer's information. The failure mileage was approximately 32,076.

Our truck is currently experiencing issue with the driver side door. In cold temperatures, the door will not open from the outside of the vehicle nor the inside of the vehicle. This is a known Ford recall with the F150 series as well. TSB/SSM 50543: SSM 50543 is a Ford Special Service Message addressing freezing door latches on 2021-2022 F-150 trucks. It addresses issues with doors failing to lock, unlock, or open in freezing temperatures due to water intrusion, instructing dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace door latch cables and actuators. This is EXACTLY what we are experiencing with our 2022 F350.
As a Ford owner, I can vividly recall the 1980’s Ford acronym ‘fix or repair daily’. That comes to mind as my 2022 F350 Platinum Dually has been in the shop for one thing or another more times in 3 years than my 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ has in 10 years. But I digress. The reason for this complaint is my latest malfunction on my Ford vehicle. As mentioned previously, it hasn’t been 3 years and yet another issue with my vehicle has come to light. My passenger roof trim has broken at the connection point, which of all things, was connected via rivet…beneath the rear glass. Apparently, this an extremely common issue among 2017 and up Ford Super Duty. There has been no recall issued. And Ford wants the vehicle owners to pay for the repair. It is an absolute horrible design. The plastic breaks often. And to make matters worse, the rear glass had to be removed to replace the trim. Most of the trim snaps in place but the very end, the end that is cheaply made and connected to a metal rivet, is so fragile and thin that after a few months of driving over American bumpy roads and being beating up the Sun, it cracks, breaks lose, sticks up like a sore thumb, and otherwise detracts from the reputation of the Ford Brand. My vehicle is still under the original warranty as I have only 22,240 miles, and I purchased and extended warranty with adds 4 more years. This needs to be remedied and Ford owners need to be compensated for monies spent to repair these manufacturing defects. MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP STATES THAT IF THEY BREAK THE GLASS DURING THE REPAIR THAT THE COST OF THE NEW GLASS IS MY RESPONSIBILITY, EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. That is so very wrong and alarming. The repair is $125, to be completed by an outside vendor. The dealer will not even tackle this repair. THE CONNECTION POINT OF THE ROOF TRIM IS A RIVET. Why? THE CONNECTION POINT OF THE ROOF TRIM IS BENEATH THE REAR GLASS, WHICH HAS TO BE REMOVED INORDER TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE ROOF TRIM. Why? Why make
Suspension

Highway travel at approx 65mph, experienced a sudden violent uncontrollable steering wheel movement known as a death wobble. Uncontrollable steering wheel movement increased resulting in a reactionary driver hard breaking application to try and regain control of the vehicle steering WITHOUT checking rear view mirror for other motorists close behind. Speed dropped to approx 30-35mph before regaining control of steering. Fortunately no vehicles were following close behind or the affected vehicle and other highway occupants may have resulted in a crash caused by the uncontrollable vehicle and sudden breaking. Components/systems involved include front suspension/steering. Dealer #1 stated vehicle was inspected and found no abnormal wear or damage, all specs within limits. Dealer #2 found steering damper depleted requiring replacement (warranty covered), and front end alignment found out of specifications requiring addition parts installed at owner cost ($787), all while under warranty at approx 19000mi at time of occurrence. No prior symptoms or indications. One owner/driver vehicle since new. Incident occurred without warning and immediate unsafe driving conditions occured. Trip continued for approx 1000mi without further incident until inspected by 2 Ford dealerships until some sort of corrective action applied.
Well, driving truck at speeds of 60 mph developed wobble. After slowing down wobble went away after about a 10th of a mile. Incident does not happen when I travel under 50 mph. Has happened several times. I researched this topic on Internet and Ford claims to fix this problem in the year 2020. They claim vehicles after that year will not have this.

Today 9/6/23 at 9:20pm I was driving 65mph on the highway and hit a medium sized pot hole. This caused my front end to violently shake back and forth over a prolonged period of time causing me to loose control of my vehicle. I was able to brake and the shaking stopped around 20mph while I was on the highway. This has happened to me once before almost causing an accident. Neither time was I speeding, over loaded, or driving erratically. The pot holes were things I had seen but not avoided as were are not something that has ever caused a problem for me while driving any other vehicle. I have driven daily for over 10 years.

25X12.00B9 IMP. THE TIRE WENT FLAT WITH NO SIGNS OF DAMAGE. REMOVED TIRE AND TOOK TO BELLE TIRE, BROWNSBURG, IN IN WHICH DAMEON THOMAS, MANAGER STATED THAT THERE WERE CRAKES INSIDE THE TIRE WHICH WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. IN THE LAST 30 DAYS HE HAD SEEN OVER 70 TIRES WITH THIS PROBLEM. HE CONTACTED YOKOHAMA DIRECTLY AND THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING. THESE TIRES HAVE LESS THAN 4000 MILES. WAITED A TOTAL 5 WEEKS FOR THEM TO TELL US THEY WILL DO NOTHING. TOOK VEHICLE TO COSTCO AND HAD 4 NEW FIRESTONE TIRES MOUNTED FOR A COST OF $1815.79. COSTCO STATED THAT ALL OF THE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE AND COULD HAVE BLOWN WHILE DRIVING. WE HAVE THE 4 TIRES IN OUR POSSION. WE ARE ASKING FOR A REFUND OF THE COST OF NEW TIRES AND LOSS OF USE OF THE VEHICLE.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission was failing and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be rebooted. The TCM was rebooted, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the failure might be due to the trailer that was being towed. The failure mileage was 22,327.

Interior & seats

Page 84 of the owners manual states to open locked rear doors to pull the handle twice. The first pull unlocks the door the second pull opens the door. This function does not work. The dealer even tested at least 2 other 2022 F-350's and this did not work on those either. In the event of a crash, car jacking, fire or being just left in the vehicle and the doors are not unlocked the rear passengers doors will not unlock and passengers can not exit the vehicle via the doors using just the handle. The only way to unlock the rear doors if front seats are not accessable/danger to life exists is to pull up on the lock indicator stalk on the rear of the rear doors. The dealer I bought this vehicle from looked over all of this information and confirmed it to not work as described in the manual and even contacted Ford engineering. Ford's response is that this feature my no longer be available and that the owners manual is either not correct or is not available yet for the vehicle. This information was directly to the dealer that inspected the vehicle and confirmed that none of the F-350 crew cabs they have are able to perform this function.
