The navigation on the civic would reset and cut out for no reason and sometimes takes a long time to come back on or it never reboots and the screen stays black until you have to turn off the car and wait and then turn it back on. My experience was I was on a trip 2 hours away and I had my family in the car. We were traveling to somewhere new. During the trip, approximately 30 minutes into the drive, the navigation went out. Screen went black and took 3 minutes to come back on with my set destination on the navigation. The 2nd time it cut out was when we were on a mountain road. There were quite a bit of twist and turns and then when I lost the navigation, there were exits I missed because I was relying on the navigation to guide me to my destination. I had to ask my wife to use the GPS on her phone so we could resume back to our destination after a bit of a detour. The navigate never came back on for the next 20 minutes until I pulled over to a nearby gas station and turned the car completely off and waited 5 minutes to turn it back on. After a long reboot, it came back on. My point is that Honda should resolve this issue because I feel like it is potentially a safety issue. I am using and relying on a system the manufacturer provided and installed into my vehicle to get me to my set destinations. It has a failure rate to the point people get lost, get frustrated and literally get distracted from actually driving to try to get it to come back on by rebooting it manually. It is not reliable and when it never comes back, that's a whole issue. It is sometimes not possible to pull over and turn my car off to reset the navigation of I am lost. Like for me, I was on a 2 lane mountain pass with no shoulders, just a guard rail and the the cliff. It just distracts you and can cause you to get lost and that can take your attention away from driving safely. Honda should be required to address this issue as this is a unreliable equipment that can leave you stranded.

A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
ENGINE
Service Bulletin - Water could enter the hood scoop and accumulate down inside the no. 4 spark plug hole. This can corrode the ignition coil, plug tube, and spark plug, leading to a misfire to the no. 4 cylinder. If a misfire is detected, DTC P0304 is stored.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
Service Bulletin - American Honda is extending the warranty on the A/C condenser to 10 years from the original date of purchase with unlimited miles. This warranty extension only covers vehicles that have a defective A/C condenser from the factory. The A/C condenser was not manufactured to specification. As a result, corrosion may develop in the form of tiny holes in the condenser tube walls that allow the refrigerant to leak out.
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Service Bulletin - Due to a new North America regulation which introduces a new refrigerant and oil requirement, the compressor shaft seal may leak. American Honda is extending the warranty on the A/C compressor shaft seal from the original 3 years to 10 years from the original date of purchase, with no mileage limitation. The new refrigerant and oil may cause swelling of the compressor shaft seal. The swelling may lead to abnormal wearing of the seal which may increase seal gaps around the compressor shaft allowing refrigerant to leak out.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
