2020 Honda CR-V Airbags Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the airbag system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Airbags reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I received a recall notice a long time ago and I have checked multiple times with 2 different Honda dealerships (Located in Hickory, NC & Morganton, NC) about a remedy to fix and have been told every time they don't have the parts to fix and not sure when they will. It has been a long time now and I am concerned. NHTSA Recall Number 24V-064

I received a notice in March 2024 regarding a recall for my 20 CRV involving a Seat Weight Sensor Circuit Board. I contacted my local Honda Dealer, Serra ,Honda Grand Blanc, Michigan to inquire about obtaining a time to service the recall. I was told at that time that they did not have the parts available and to call back in the fall to schedule. I spoke to the same dealership on September 27, 2024 and was told that they did not have the parts and had no idea when they would arrive. They continued to state Honda offers vague communication on when the parts will be available. This is unacceptable and is a definite safety issue.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
