The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB and CESB school buses. The driver's window panel and entrance door vertical joints may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
The risk: The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will install rivets along the driver's side window seam and entrance door seam, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 14, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26511.

The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB and 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The body panel joint may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicle fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."

The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. The brake lines may have been installed with incorrect hardware, which can result in brake line damage and cause a leak.
The risk: A brake fluid leak can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake lines and brake line retainers as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 27, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26502. We purchased (6) 2025 IC School buses and we are having entrance door issues. They are air powered doors and Rush Trucks in Akron cannot get the air regulated to close properly. They turn up the air so that the door closes, the doors then slam very hard that may cause injury if student is close to the door. If the air is turned down, the doors do nut shut properly causing issues with the student crossing lights which then sounds an alarm and the lights do not function properly causing the lights to not activate when crossing students. I have given Rush about a year to rectify the issue but to no avail. Again- This is a student crossing safety concern.
