The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB and CESB school buses. The driver's window panel and entrance door vertical joints may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
The risk: The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will install rivets along the driver's side window seam and entrance door seam, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 14, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26511.

The risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26508.

The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB and 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The body panel joint may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicle fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
The risk: The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the interior vertical joint as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 4, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26504. Certain 2025 thru 2027 IC Bus™ CE Series school buses and IC Bus™ Electric CE Series school buses entrance doors may fall out of adjustment over time and with use. A door that is not adjusted properly may result in an improperly closed door and trigger an open door warning light on the dashboard.
