2015 Jeep Cherokee Driver assistance Problems

Check engine light on 2015 Jeep Cherokee Sport turned on, vehicle "went limp". Pulled over, turned car off, waited, turned car back on. Happened again taking car to dealership. The dealership said "code for trans range sensor p1726. reset trans and test drove. code did not come back". Same thing happened again a week later. Took it to Firestone, code was "TCM P1726-00 Transmission Manage Sensor "C" circuit High. They said it sounded like the Recall Number 16V529000/S55. I took it back to the dealership, they said the recall, despite being for a 2015 Jeep Cherokee didn't apply and noted "Same code P1726 set in TCM. Going to need range sensor and TCM replaced."

My vehicle - at random - will switch to traction control, 4x4, and will slow down while driving, and will not allow me to go above 45 mph, with the engine rpm’s revved as high as if I’m driving 85 mph. No mechanic has been able to accurately diagnose it, and I continue to pay for different repairs, without getting the problem actually solved.

Hello my jeep got a message of service 4 wheel drive so i brought it to the dealership. the looked at it and it turns out to be a failing PTU. Jeep did a recall and extended warranty on it but they are saying they will not cover the cost of the repair because its the wrong code. I have code C14A797 and they are saying they need code P14A797. This doesnt even make sense its the same exact faulty part but different codes??? Codes they the car company creates?

After driving a vehicle for a few minutes the lights will flash pretty badly, the service transmission light comes on, on the dash and the car enters limp mode, and the fan comes on, you are unable to move the vehicle it will not go forward or backwards. The vehicle runs perfectly smooth until this happens without warning. Additionally, the service air bag light came on, on the dash but if you turn the car off and back on the lights will go away and you can resume activity as usual. The cars lights and horn goes crazy even when you are not in the vehicle or driving it and does not have to be on when it does this. Now the vehicle has a service engine light on and diagnostics have been done and one part has been changed but this did not resolve the issue which was a purge solenoid and the oil filter housing which also did not resolve the issue. This vehicle is very dangerous to drive as it will go into limp mode while driving it.

Hi, There are numbers of recalls and 3 of the recalls came back. I got engine light with the codes U0402 Implausible Data Received From TCM U0164 Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module TCM BCM and PCM needs to be reprogrammed or replaced. Also car is accelerating while cruise control is set. Fca satisfaction notice - R01 Fca recall - S55 Nhtsa recall - 16V - 529 Fca recall - U63 Nhtsa recall - 18V - 332 These 3 recalls need to be redone. Thanks

A few times when I have used cruise control my car suddenly accelerates and takes me slamming on my break for a few seconds to disengage to slow down, almost causing me to crash into someone. I have not taken my car to a shop to have it looked at. There were no warning lights or messages when it happened

Electric Throttle Control. It will stop working randomly and when accelerating on the highway on the on ramp it will die down and go no more than 35 mph and will also do this when merging into traffic.. very dangerous

There has been two separate occasions this has occurred. The last occurrence resulted in a car wreck . The first occurrence I was driving out of a public parking lot and had feet on breaks and engine rived up and keep going into traffic but car saw me coming and switched lines. This second occurrence I was parking the car in a parking space with my feet on the breaks and the car rived up even with me hitting the breaks jumped the curb and i and the car ended up through the window of a store. No one was hurt but car damaged and in the shop for repairs. Police came to the seen and deemed it an accident. My 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited has a parking brake issue. My parking brake will not disengage, the car will not move forward or back, the warning lights are lit up on the dashboard. My Jeep is inoperable due to this issue. This has happened before in parking lots, etc but I was always able to pull over and disengage. That is NOT the case this time as had the car towed to the Jeep Dealership and diagnosed as the parking Brake Module is faulty, the part is back oprdered for months and will cost over $1700 to repair.

Electronic emergency brake locked up while reversing, just went on by itself, unable to move car and i couldn’t get it off or get in a gear to move the car at all I had myself and my grandbaby in the car at the time Now the odometer is flashing and the “A” button that would shut engine off at a light, but no warning lights before this incident - a message is showing now “Service emergency brake” along with the icons that go with the emergency brake I called Dodge Service center from my car, no help, just suggested it be towed in -they said never heard of it doing that, has to be looked at Been searching this problem seems I’m not the only one this has happened to

Water fills up in the spare tire component which corroded the emergency brake box. I took it to the local Sunoco to fix they contacted Chrysler and was told to give the car back to me as is I should have it fixed by the dealership. My car is currently at a dealership and they’re telling me I have to pay $1600 for the repair. But if you Google this is a common problem with this vehicle.

My jeep Cherokee have a 4wd warning indication services need. It automatically shifts my power train to snow. Also when in park. The vehicle starts to go to neutral. Please recall this. Went for service and they stated my EPB is not engaging properly, they could tell water was in the spare tire well at some point....I bought this car in 2019 & was never told of this possible problem This incident obviously happened before the date of this complaint, but I was not aware until service technician told me on 2/21/2023 "Power going to Park Brake Module---No power out" Thank you for your time

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It has been in the shop many times due to poor manufacturing and recalls. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle in May 2020, it was involved with a recall for a water leak and powerlift gate short due to water damage. It has leaked water into the hatch/ trunk area since I purchased it. I have spoken with 2 dealerships about the issue. The most recent was November 1, 2022 when it was left with Rockwall Chrysler. My issue is that the Electronic Parking Brake Module was damaged to due heavy rain and the continued leak. On October 30, 2022, we were trying to leave in the cherokee and the Service Brake warning light was on as well as service shifter. The vehicle was stuck due to a malfunctioning parking brake. After multiple attempts, the brake disengaged and I continued to work. October 31, when I started the vehicle the following warning/ service lights were on and remains on: Service Brake Light (2 different lights) ACC/FCW not available / service Auto start/ stop unavailable/service Airbag warning light (went off 11/3/22) 4WD Unavailable/service On my drive home from work, the electronic parking brake engaged while I was turning across traffic and I almost was hit by a large delivery truck. Once I managed to get the vehicle to drive, it happened again on the highway service road and I was very close to being rear ended by an 18 wheeler that was driving behind me. The dealership did no repairs due to the $575.00 charge I cannot pay to diagnose and do a leak test. I explained this was involved with a recall and they basically told me it was fixed in with Canada or Ohio and I needed to return to that dealer (I live in TX). Which is not possible because the vehicle is sitting in my drive way and will not move due to the brake being stuck on. I picked the unrepaired vehicle up on 11/3/22 and was advised its best to get rid of as soon as possible. The problem is that I owe roughly $13,000 on the jeep. I cant afford this and a rental

this vehicle shows all recalls have been completed. however, every time it rains, the hatch compartment fills with water. 10/30/2022, my electronic parking brake light came on and the vehicle was stuck in park. Once we got the car home, I opened the hatch and removed the spare tire; there was standing water in the area from rain. This morning I was leaving for work an d the following lights came on; 1) Service 4WD 2) Service electronic Parking Brake 3) Service Airbags 4) Service Front Collision system 5) Service auto start stop 6) Adaptive Cruise Control not available 7) cruise/ fcw unab=vailable- service required This vehicle has been a complete nightmare. I did record the event as we used a shop vac to remove the water. the Service 4 wd light comes on and goes off randomly daily; the PTU was "flashed" but the problem continued. I have contacted the dealership only to be told all recalls are complete and I must pay for the additional repairs. I have contacted Jeep and have had zero resolutions.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at an undetermined speed, the vehicle was bouncing. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle was shifting roughly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, on another occasion while driving, the vehicle independently accelerated. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Electric Emergency brake system will not disengage. Started my vehicle and it stated check parking brake and the red light was also on. I thought someone hit the brake button so I hit it and the light went off. I was able to drive my jeep a few feet to unlock the gate to our property. I put the jeep in park got out to open the gate and when I got back in the orange light came back on to check the park brake. I tried clicking it off and it would not go off. I then could not move my jeep forward or backwards. Because of this we had to have the jeep towed to local dealership to review. It is there as we speak. They told us looks to be the brake module. I will have documentation once the repair is complete.
