I HAVE THREE CHILDREN. THE YOUNGEST ONE IS OUTGROWING HIS TODDLER CAR SEAT. ALL CAR SEATS FOR OLDER CHILDREN REQUIRE A LAP AND SHOULDER BELT TO WORK, BUT THIS CAR HAS ONLY A CENTER REAR LAP BELT. I TRIED TO INSTALL A HARNESS IN THE CENTER, BUT WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO INSTALL A CENTER REAR TETHER ANCHOR IN THIS CAR. HELP!*AK
THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS A LAP BELT FOR THE CENTER REAR SEAT. I HAVE THREE CHILDREN AND THE YOUNGEST IS TURNING FOUR AND OUTGROWING HIS TODDLER SEAT. HIS TWO OLDER SIBLINGS SIT ON THE SIDES IN THE REAR, USING THE ONLY LAP-AND-SHOULDER BELTS IN THE REAR. I CANNOT FIND A BOOSTER SEAT THAT IS DESIGNED TO HOLD HIS SHOULDERS WHEN HE GROWS PAST 40 LBS, AND CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE CAR WITH ONLY THE LAP BELT. WHAT CAN I DO?*AK
PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE. FORD PART NUMBER F1DZ*5461202*AA. BUCKLE QUIT FUNCTIONING. ORIGINAL PART WAS REPLACED 09 APRIL 1998 ($16.93). THIS PART FAILED. IT WAS REPLACED 23 FEBRUARY 2001 ($35.33). INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL, THIS WILL BE THE THIRD BUCKLE AND CABLE THAT IS INSTALLED ON THIS CAR. BOTH TIMES, I ASKED THE DEALER IF THERE WAS A RECALL AND HE SAID THERE WAS NOT.*AK
FAILURE OF PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT TO SECURE. *AK
REAR SEAT BELTS ARE DIFFICULT TO RELEASE FROM RETRACTORS.
UPON IMPACT DURING FRONTAL CRASH AT APPROX. 5MPH HIT ROAD BARRIER UNDER ICY CONDITIONS, PASSENGER'S ACTIVE SHOULDER HARNESS FAILED TO RETRACT, PASSENGER WENT OVER AIRBAG, HITTING WINDSHIELD, DRIVER'S AIBAG ONLY RUPTURED, NOT FULLY DEPLOYING. *AK
DRIVER'S HEADREST GUIDE HEADS FAILED, PREVENTING HEADREST FROM BEING ADJUSTED.
DRIVER'S SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. *SD
UPON IMPACT, FRONT PASSENGERS SEATBELT DISENGAGED AND THE DOOR OPENED AND PASSENGER WAS EJECTED. PLEASE DESCRIBE. TT
