The defect: ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH VEHICLE SYSTEMS' AQUA-HOT AND HYDRO-HOT WATER HEATERS, WHICH USE WEBASTO BURNER TUBES, THE BURNER TUBES DO NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS AND COULD FAIL PREMATURELY.
The risk: THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF THE EXHAUST TUBE EXITING FROM THE HEATER CAN INCREASE AND COULD POTENTIALLY IGNITE COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS IN OR AROUND THE VEHICLE.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE COMBUSTION CHAMBERS (BURNER TUBES) WITH A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

The defect: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE WATER HEATER EXHAUST ON THE CURVE SIDE WALL UNDER THE BACK SIDE OF THE KITCHEN SLIDEOUT ROOM BOX TERMINATES UNDER THE SLIDE BOX WHEN IN THE EXTENDED POSITION. THIS DESIGN COULD CREATE A RISK OF MIGRATION OF CARBON MONOXIDE INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE MOTOR HOME.
The risk: EXPOSURE OF THE OCCUPANTS TO CARBON MONOXIDE COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WATER HEATER WITH A 16 GALLON ATWOOD UNIT THAT HAS A DIFFERENT EXHAUST TERMINATION. THE RECALL BEGAN MARCH 25, 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

The defect: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES MANUFACTURED WITH OPTIONAL AQUA HOT HYDRONIC HEATERS, THE EXHAUST TERMINATION FOR THE HEATER WAS LOCATED UNDER THE BEDROOM SLIDE OUT, WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED BEYOND THE PERIPHERY OF THE VEHICLE.
The risk: THIS MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR FUMES TO ENTER THE COACH AND POSSIBLY ALLOW CARBON MONOXIDE FUMES TO VENT INTO THE MOTOR HOME, WHICH COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO THE PASSENGERS.
The remedy: FOR THE 2003 MOTOR HOMES, DEALERS WILL USE THE EXISTING PIPE FROM THE AQUA HOT HYDRONIC HEATER, AND REPAIR IT SO THAT THE END TERMINATION WILL BE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE MOTOR HOME. FOR THE 2004 AND 2005 MOTOR HOMES, DEALERS WILL ADD AN EXHAUST PIPE TO THE EXISTING EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM THE AQUA HOT HYDRONIC HEATER. THE ADDITIONAL PIPE WILL BE INSTALLED SO THAT THE END TERMINATION WILL ALSO BE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE MOTOR HOME. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 27, 2004. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MONACO COACH WINDSOR RV. WHILE THE MOTOR HOME WAS PARKED, A PUDDLE OF FUEL WAS DISCOVERED UNDERNEATH THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE CONNECTED TO THE NUMBER THREE FUEL INJECTOR HAD CRACKED AND CAUSED FUEL TO LEAK OUT. THE FUEL LINE WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

ALL UNKNOWN TO DRIVER TILL UNIT SWING TO LEFT HARD WHEN BRAKES APPLIED. MONACO ANSWER TO PROBLEM " HAVE ALL BRAKE COMPONENTS TAKEN APART, CLEANED AND LUBRICATED EACH YEAR!! *JB
