The defect: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Bay Star and Bay Star Sport motorhomes. The hood stops mounting adhesive may fail, which can allow the hood stop to detach while the vehicle is in transit.
The risk: Hood stops that detach can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and reinstall the hood stop brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 627 RSB.

Ford has decided that a defect relating to motor vehicle safety exists in specific motorhomes built on a Ford chassis (NHTSA #24V 275). In response, Newmar Corporation is issuing Canadian recall TC # 2024-619.
