DT : THE CONSUMER IS NOT HAPPY BECAUSE THE SEAT BELTS DO NOT LOCK IN DURING NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE CHILD IS ABLE TO LEAN FORWARD WITH THE SEAT BELT ON. *AK *SC THE CHILD WAS ALSO ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE SEAT BELT. *SC *JB
THE GEN3 TYPE OF SEATBELT IN OUR PLYMOUTH VOYAGER MINIVAN CAME ACCIDENTALLY UNDONE WHEN IT WAS BUMPED BY ONE OF MY CHILDREN. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN ON THE CHILD SEAT WHICH WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN NOTICED.

HOW MANY LIVES NEED TO BE LOST UNTIL CHRYSLER REPLACES THE GEN3 BELTS? I HAVE A 1999 VOYAGER AND I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT CHRYSLER'S LACK OF RESPONSE TO THIS ISSUE. CHRYSLER WOULD NOT BE AROUND IF THEY HAD NOT BEEN BAILED OUT BY THE PEOPLE THEY ARE REFUSING TO HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM.*AK
THE SEAT BELT BUCKLES IN THIS VAN ARE OF A DANGEROUS DESIGN. THEY POP OPEN TOO OFTEN. IT'S WORST FOR THE REAR SEATS WHERE WE HAVE AT LEAST ONE INCIDENT PER MONTH WHERE THE BUCKLES HAVE SOMEHOW RELEASED ON THEIR OWN. *NLM

I AM MAKING A FORMAL COMPLAINT ON MY 1999 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER, IT HAS THE GEN 3 SEATBELTS. I AM A FATHER OF 4 AND I BELIEVE THEY ARE DANGEROUS TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I AM REQUSTING THAT LEGAL ACTION BE TAKEN AGAINST CHRYSLER TO FORCE THEM TO REPLACE ALL GEN 3 SEATBELTS.*AK
DURING ROLL-OVER AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN BUMPER HIT, SON FELL OUT OF SEATBELT DUE TO ITS POSITIONING IN VAN
WHEN PLACING VEHICLE FROM PARK TO REVERSE OR FROM PARK TO DRIVE VEHICLE CAN BE PLACED OUT OF GEAR WITHOUT FOOT DEPRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER, DEALER LINKED THE PROBLEM TO THE DRIVESHAFT OR AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. CONSUMER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WHICH HAD TOO MUCH SLACK. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
