The truck has two issues that may be related. The third brake light leaks water. they tried to fix it, it happened again. The leaks have ruined my upholstery of the back seats. They have an extended warranty for this but it should be a recall. I believe the leak also is effecting my push button (electrical issues), the car won't start. It just clicks and you have to remove the battery or do weird things to make it start again. I think the leak may be connected because there is a computer on the bottom of the rear window floor that keeps getting wet. The push button to turn the car on is a major pain and it happens at random times or after lots of rain. It can leave you stranded for an half hour or days. It also affects the power roof. I can't open/close the power roof without doing crazy things. The push button start is reported by thousands online. Dodge charges 50k and cannot provide basic start button that don't leave you stranded.

A cracked backlite frame resulting in an interior water leak (crack is visible from the outside). Water leaks from the top of the backlite. There is a recall under Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23) for the same make, year, and model as this vehicle, but it is not listed as a specific recall for this VIN. In addition to the risk of mold in the vehicle, electronics located below the leak, such as the RF Module beneath the rear seat, could also be damaged. This could lead to the inability to remotely start the vehicle, or even start it at all, due to the module being used to recognize the key fob before the vehicle starts. This could strand an individual and represent a safety concern in this aspect. The problem is well known on other vehicles; see the previous reference for Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23). However, it is not listed for this VIN. The dealer and auto body shops have inspected the problem, and they can confirm that this matches the problem listed in the TSB. No warnings or messages, as this is a common manufacturing defect for this vehicle's make, model, and year. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2019 ram 1500 big horn rear back lite leak. Anytime it rains it pours from the frame where it has developed two cracks on either side of the power sliding window. Dealer states it needs replaced after resealing the window and the 3rd brake light. Dealer states Ram will not pay for the replacement even though there is an extended warranty for 8 years or 150k miles on the backlite. I have opened a case with customer care...all they do is mediate between you and dealer they have no access to TSB bulletins or service records. TSB bulletin located on NHSTA site states replacement. Dealer states they only reseal and that the one I can see is outdated. Dealer wrote on last service record that the backlite needs replaced. Note: there is a electronic hub located behind the seats. Also, potential mold growth as the vehicle has a persistent musty smell.

The issues started with the sunroof not closing. And the uconnect touch screen inoperable ( it went black and no options available ) It seemed to be a fluke and resolved itself. But within a few weeks the icons for the driver and passenger seat heaters were no longer on the screen. Now that the season has changed and temps have dropped, the drivers side heater will automatically come on when the truck is started and it’s below a certain degree outside. It gets crazy hot and will only shut off when the truck is turned off. This was followed by the icons for the radio options resorting themselves and the one for USB disappearing as well. The usb connection still works, but it has to automatically switch over when plugged in, it cannot be manually selected. Lastly the ParkAssist seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it will function as intended. Other times when I start the truck it flashes a warning that the park assist is unavailable and the lights on the switches are on showing it’s been disengaged. When pushed they will flash and then turn solid again. Other times it will happen while I’m driving. There will be a ding and the unavailable warning will flash on the screen. When the icons first disappeared I called mopar/uconnect customer service. They tried to walk me through some diagnostics but none of it worked. They suggested maybe getting a software update. But couldn’t tell me if that would fix it or not. When I asked if it didn’t they just said I’d have to replace the whole uconnect system.

Unsure to what's causing the issue, dealership will look at it but feel it is a customer issue not a truck issue however among further investigation this seems to be a common issue amongst these model trucks, I have spoken with other people who have experience the same issues as well as researched it online where many people have also experienced the issue. The seatbelt light alongside the airbag light will come on intermently saying that the passenger side seat belt is unbuckled and it is in fact not. I have spoken with individuals who have gone to the dealership for this issue and they have found it to be a wiring issue.
