2023 RAM 1500 Fuel system Problems

When slowing down in traffic or approaching a stop sign vehicle will stall then turn off. This will than cause the vehicle to abruptly stop. Emergency brake is then engaged. It takes 1-3 times to engage vehicle to restart using the push start button. This happens with in 2-4 blocks of a cold start or even after 15 minutes or more of driving. This vehicle has been in the Dodge dealer several times with them not able to duplicate problem. This happens several times a month. Have been told by dealer it does NOT show a "code" for them to locate problem. When vehicle stalls it puts emergency brake on and alternator light comes on. After vehicle is re started you must pull over and turn vehicle off for few minutes to get alternator light to turn off. Volume of gas in tank seems to have NO bearing on when this vehicle stalls. This vehicle stalling happens more frequently when outside temperature is 50° and above. Happens more frequently with warmer temperatures

Etorque and battery failure. Etorque was failing and coldbrook Mitsubishi said it was fine. 2 months later brought to Lee dodge/ram and told etorque bearing gone. By now 80k manufacturer warranty over 80k and not warranted despite me telling them before this mileage. This etorque should be recalled and paid for. This truck has been nothing but problems. I won’t buy anything from stelantis in the future!

THE AUTO START STOP HAS MALFUNCTIONED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE WHOLE TRUCK GOES INTO STOP MODE THE 1ST 2 TIMES I WAS AT A STPOP SIGN SO IT JUST MADE THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME MAD THIS LAST TIME I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55MPH THE LIGHT TURNED GREEEN AND THE TRUCK SHUP OFF TURNED ON THE EMERGENY BRAKE AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUSHED AS MANY BUTTONS AS I COULD THE PROBLEM WAS I SAW A SEMI COMING IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR AND NOW THE LIGHT IS GREEN AND I'M NOT MOVING THIS IS A VERYSCARY THING

The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing an inaccurate fuel gauge reading. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the fuel gauge displayed that the fuel mileage was 18, but the vehicle suddenly lost motive power, prompting the contact to pull over to the side of the road. The contact parked the vehicle and took an Uber to his destination. The contact later returned and added fuel to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions. The dealer reset the computer, and the module K1 fuel pump leveling unit was replaced, and the instrument cluster was reprogrammed as per TSB Number: 08-234-24; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,360.

I bought a 2023 Ram 1500 brand new off the lot and the vehicle is only less than 3 years old. I was hoping the with me buying a brand new Ram that I would not have a major issue such as the fuel pump failing which caused me to pay $1809.64 out of pocket cost on a practically new vehicle. The fuel pump and the control module were both faulty with the dealer findings. With only 1000 miles over warranty, I think that this does not make since for such a major issue with a practically new vehicle that is not cover under the powertrain warranty. The vehicle has been taken in for regular maintenance. I would appreciate a refund of the amount paid to cover my loss

Ran over tripod laying in road it flipped up slicing a hole in fuel tank. Tank has no metal cover to protect from road hazzards such as metal striking plastic tank resulting in a hole in fuel tank

Motor stalled while moving. Transmission automatically went into park , emergency brake was applied all before it came to a full stop. Took to dealership and code P032F came up . When serviced dealership said they can’t find anything wrong.Ram had the same problem with the V8 and came up with a update. Nothing available for the 3.6 L

Driving down the freeway, with no previous issues at 80MPH. Next thing the truck stalls and won't restart. Vehicle jumped and runs when connected stops immediately once unjumped. Replaced battery at 51,000 miles and vehicle runs fine. Concern is the alternator is not strong enough to power the vehicle if the battery dies for mysterious reasons.

The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH on the highway, the "Push to Start" message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking warning light illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle with fuel pump and fuel pump regulator failure. The fuel pump was replaced. I brought the 'new to me' truck to the dealership 2 weeks after purchase to address a known recall and a Customer Satisfaction Notification. The latter related to the PCM software to address an issue of staling (08A). No problems were experienced before the service nor were any services noted on the Carfax for stalling before purchase. Four days after the recall and Customer Satisfaction Notice were addressed, I approached a stop sign with intentions to turn right. I slowed, but not to a complete stop, as I could see that no one was approaching from either direction and rolled thru the stop. I took my foot off the gas as I slowed (guessing to 3 mph) and applied the brake to make the turn when the engine stalled and engaged the parking brake and flashers. I was able to restart the vehicle following the dash instructions, however, this could have been a disaster if someone had been coming from my left of an impatient driver was behind me. The issue has not recurred since happening 3 days ago and the vehicle was taken to the dealership today (records of original visit and second visit attached). No warning message or sounds before the incident. Auto start/stop was turned on at the time.

While making a slow left turn the truck stalled without warning almost causing an accident with oncoming traffic. Once the truck stalled, I wasn't able to accelerate, and the car slowly rolled across two lanes of oncoming traffic. Once the car came to a stop the emergency brake engaged. I was able to put the car in Park and restart and disengage the emergency brake. If the other cars hadn't stopped in time this could easily been a fatal accident for me and my family.

Accelerating from a stop, turning hard right, engine shut off without warning. Vehicle steering seemed unaffected, emergency brake engaged without warning, dash read “apply brake and push start button”- the standard start up message upon entering when parked and engine off. No other indicator lights. Vehicle restarted by applying break and pushing start button. Vehicle lurched mildly when starting engine. Happened approximately 1435, temp around 95 F, daily driver vehicle, driven that am without issue. The remainder of the 10 minute drive, the battery indicator light would come on with a chime. Indicator would remain on around 10-20 seconds and turn off. Battery warning light came off and on at least 8 times within 10 minutes. Vehicle ran without issue aside from battery warning light. Parked for 9 hours and drove home without incident or warning lights.
