The emergency braking system initiated during operating my vehicle (has done it 3 times) for no reason. It locks up my engine and will not let me operate the vehicle. The software went crazy with warnings. Would not allow me to turn off the engine. It acted like it thought I was having a front end collision. I seriously have been afraid to drive. I have this feature turned off, it should never have activated. I have had several electrical issues; example: drivers side running light twice has had to be replaced (first time it was only a few months old); the passenger side had to be replaced. The air pressure warnings are inconsistent, the screen goes black on my Uconnect system; the clock settings change daily. It drops, freezes or reboots constantly. The first week I had my truck the check engine light came on, I took it back to dealer and they found nothing wrong. A few weeks later it happened again; took it back and they said it was a "KNOWN" RAM issue, nothing is really wrong and no fix was available. It comes on frequently, I get it checked each time. It goes off on its own now. I do not trust it. How will I know if it really has an issue???

While driving northbound on [XXX] from [XXX] into [XXX] during heavy rain, my vehicle experienced an uncommanded Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) deployment just before the bridge. The sudden activation of the AEB system at highway speed on a wet surface caused the vehicle to lose traction, resulting in fishtailing and a subsequent head-on collision into the median. This malfunction not only put my life in danger, but the life of my passenger because if I was not able to recover as I did, the truck would have went right off the bridge. The AEB system is the component involved, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The problem has not yet been evaluated or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center; currently, the vehicle is being evaluated by the insurance company, and inspection is pending. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the incident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

This vehicle has a severe safety defect in its Instrument Panel Cluster that is the subject of NHTSA Safety Recall 25V-826. Despite multiple repair attempts, including a complete hardware replacement of the entire Instrument Panel Cluster, the defect remains unresolved. To date, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative 86 days for this issue. On June 24, 2026, after the full component replacement, the instrument panel cluster suffered a complete blackout while I was operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This resulted in a total loss of the speedometer and all safety information. A subsequent power-cycle restart failed to initialize the system. This is a documented, ongoing highway safety hazard. Video evidence of this failure is on file with the Texas DMV (active Lemon Law Case No. 26-0011927) and has been provided directly to the manufacturer's legal counsel. The manufacturer has failed to resolve this safety defect. Videos available upon request.

The factory-installed tow mirrors on this vehicle present a severe safety hazard due to a major engineering and ergonomic design flaw. The physical size and placement of the side mirrors are excessively large, creating massive blind spots at the front pillars of the windshield. This completely obstructs the driver's forward-diagonal visibility, creating a "blind wall" effect that fully hides oncoming mid-size sedans, motorcycles, and pedestrians when approaching urban intersections, roundabouts, and crosswalks. This layout is entirely unsuitable for normal daily use and causes extreme driver distress due to near-miss situations. Additionally, the advanced safety electronics housed within these mirrors malfunction constantly. The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) warning lights freeze or lock up on the glass, or the dashboard displays a permanent "Blind Spot System Unavailable" error message shortly after starting the vehicle or deploying the power-folding mirrors. The 360-degree perimeter camera feed also experiences intermittent signal loss. The hardware components are available for inspection upon request. The electrical faults have been confirmed by an authorized dealer but a permanent design fix for the forward visibility hazard is required from the manufacturer.

The contact leased a 2025 RAM 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed to park the vehicle inside the residence's garage, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, crashed through the rear wall of the garage, and into a snowbank, where the vehicle came to a stop. No warning light was illuminated. The garage rear wall and lawn care equipment were damaged. No injury was sustained. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was repaired. The contact stated that while the technician was conducting a post-repair test-drive, the failure reoccurred when there was a sudden acceleration. The technician was able to stop the vehicle. The contact was advised to tow the vehicle to the dealer for further inspection. The dealer was made aware of the failure and requested a manufacturer engineer inspection. The engineer inspected the vehicle at the same independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the vehicle had passed the inspection, and there was no electrical issue. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.

The Throttle response is very slow when slowing down and then trying to take back off you are half throttle or more before anything happens, i have had to pull off the road to keep other vehicles from hitting me because the vehicle would not go. There has been a few times on the interstate that the throttle would not accept throttle at all and i would have to keep mashing it to finally get it to respond. I have had the truck at two dealerships and they tell me it is normal and the throttle is acting as it should. This is going to get me or someone Killed!!!! My friend bought a new 2026 ram truck and he says the same thing so this is a newer model ram problem.

The local dealer was made aware of the recall and informed the contact that parts were limited. The contact was informed that new vehicles were the priority before the vehicles that were already sold. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while idling at an intersection, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and the battery was replaced. Soon after the repair, while driving 75 MPH, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated erroneously, and the transmission unexpectedly downshifted. The contact attempted to take the vehicle for service, but was unable to contact a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. I was pulling out of driveway, it is a steep driveway, I have kept vehicle in 4WD, I then backed up to turn around, the truck “lurched” and “jerked” forward abruptly. I thought I had hit the home in front of me or ran over something. It was not the AEB. The vehicle had changed from 4WD auto to 2WD on its own, creating a large “jump” in the gears. I took the vehicle to service and they could not replicate. This has now happened 3 other times and “jerked” me forward at lower speeds. I have slow had the vehicle “jerk” or roughly change gears while driving from 20mph to 40mpg or when lowering gears and different speeds. I have taken it to the dealership to present and was advised to take it to another dealership and test drive with myself to attempt to replicate. I have had the main center display console turn black, both on CarPlay, and using regularly. The front parking impact sensors not display on camera which could be a safety hazard of you had something or someone that was close to proximity to the vehicle and the camera not display. I have taken the vehicle in for this and was told they could not replicate.

I purchased the Vehicle in April 2025 with 500 miles as NEW. Within 3k miles, I had the AEB and “BLIND Spot warning unavailable “ both service required messages come on the vehicle. The Hazards stay on the side mirrors while driving, which make it dangerous also believing you have vehicles in your blind spot creating a safe hazard and also beeps at times. This continued to happen constantly. I was told at first presentation that there was an internal TBS(bulletin) with FCA and there was no fix. Then at 4k miles, it happened again. I took it back, they did a software update. It continued to happen. 6k miles, more software updates. A wiring harness was replaced. It is still happening for both. At 10k miles. After software updates, wiring harness update. It continues to happen.

My infotainment screen makes a loud buzzing noise at least 3days per week, and then it shuts down and reboots itself, this happened several times while backing out of parking spots and I lost my rear view camera, also sometimes while driving on the Highway both of my blind spot monitor lights on my mirrors will come on and my truck will display BMS malfunction and this stops my adaptive Cruise and hands free Cruise while driving on Highway at 65mph or higher. I've taken in to the dealership and they say they can't reproduce the problem with the buzzing coming from The infotainment system, and the Blindspot Monitoring System will self correct after my vehicle sits overnight, but my RAM documents the BMS and sends me an alert to take into dealership for service, but once again the dealerships say they can't replicate the issue with the bms.

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) has failed and is no longer operational. The system icon on the instrument cluster is illuminated, indicating the feature is disabled. Prior to full failure, the vehicle experienced multiple dangerous events including unexpected and unintended braking at freeway speeds, creating hazardous driving conditions and requiring immediate steering correction to avoid potential collisions. The initial issue began with a loss of steering assist, which was reported. Since then, the condition has escalated. The ADAS system is now completely non-functional, and the vehicle continues to present ongoing safety risks. These failures occur during regular highway operation. I drive approximately 100 miles per day, significantly increasing exposure to these hazards. The unpredictable braking and prior steering issues create a serious risk of accident, injury, or loss of control. This issue has been ongoing for nearly four months since the initial complaint, with no permanent resolution. The vehicle is unsafe to operate under normal conditions.

Defect Description for NHTSA Complaint Intermittent but recurring failure of the Uconnect infotainment system and rearview backup camera on a 2025 Ram 1500. The defect occurs at vehicle startup and when shifting the transmission into reverse. Symptoms include: (1) the center console display freezes and becomes unresponsive; (2) the rearview backup camera fails to display an image when reverse is selected, eliminating rear visibility required under FMVSS 111; (3) audio output cuts out completely; and (4) a loud electronic buzzing noise is frequently emitted from the dash or speakers during the failure. This is a safety-related defect because the rearview camera is inoperative at the exact moment it is federally required to function — when the driver shifts into reverse — creating a rear visibility hazard and increasing the risk of a backover incident involving pedestrians, children, or obstacles. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Ram dealer multiple times for this issue. The dealer previously replaced the center console display/head unit under warranty, but the defect has returned and continues to occur, indicating the root cause was not the display itself. The persistence of the failure after a hardware replacement suggests a systemic issue — likely related to Uconnect software, the CAN bus communication network, a wiring harness or ground fault, or another vehicle module — rather than an isolated component failure. No crash, injury, or fire has resulted, but the loss of the backup camera at the moment of reverse engagement presents an ongoing safety risk during every use of the vehicle.

First I would get a check engine light and infotainment screen would go black and odometer started blinking. Restart required. Occasionally the key fob is not detected. Reset the check engine light twice. Once at Huntington Beach RAM and once at Sunnyvale Chrysler. Both times the technician was unable to determine cause of fault. Slowly the failures became worse. The vehicle infotainment system and safety features that controls propulsion and ADAS intermittently started to fail and ultimately the truck started to stall. This stalling occurred 15 minutes after a service oil change and tire rotation at Sunnyvale Chrysler / RAM. Had to tow vehicle back to Sunnyvale. Batteries changed. Tech stalled on test drive after about 5 miles. RAM app still oddly indicates low battery, even though Sunnyvale replaced both batteries. Additionally, the trailer tow module (under recall) information / status on the infotainment screen menu started flashing. The trailer tow module recall was not installed as scheduled, even though parts were checked and available, however due to parts shortage, dealer indicated sales vehicle get priorities for the modules at this time. The screen started changing status without touching the screen or menu buttons. This is a serious condition I feel warrants complete check out and repair to avoid safety concerns due to failures / hazards in the operational effectiveness of the vehicle systems / controls, that could increase risk of an accident ,that might lead to vehicle or property damage, injuries or other catastrophic events. For the sixth time, the vehicle has stopped in mid traffic. A couple of close incidents of almost getting hit in two lane traffic, at stop lights surrounded by traffic, on interstate. The incident today came after a supposed, "final fix" for the blind spot warning. It is not a warning, the vehicle completely hard brakes to a complete stop and shut down of all systems. We have to quickly respond, turn the button on quickly and hope it starts. I am now terrified to drive the vehicle. The original dealer told me to take to local dealer, they acted like I was crazy trying to describe these incidents, initially, but then 2 weeks ago, they had a service recall that stated exactly what I had experienced. It does not work. I am terrified to drive it and invested over 90,000 in a quality, American built truck to be dismissed, then believed and survived. I can't keep it, please help.
