The defect

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Altec LS63 Aerial Devices. The jib mast on these vehicles may bend under load.

The risk

The jib mast may bend and fail, increasing the risk of injury to those nearby.

The remedy

Altec will notify owners and test the jib mast, replacing any that fail, free of charge. The recall began on October 13, 2017. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-205-991-7733. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 664.
