1995 Chevrolet Camaro Visibility Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the visibility system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Visibility reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I HAVE HAD MY CAMARO FOR AWHILE NOW AND I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE WINDOWS HAVE BEGUN TO SCRATCH JUST BY ROLLING THEM UP AND DOWN. AND ALSO THE WINDOW RATTLES WHEN THE DOOR IS SHUT. I HAVE TALKED TO PEOPLE ABOUT IT AND FOUND OUT IT IS A COMMON THINGS IN CAMAROS. NOW I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER'S MISTAKE. *AK

THE REAR WINDOW MOULDING IS MELTING AWAY FROM AROUND THE WINDOW. WE BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW ,AND THE MOULDING SHOULDN'T BE COMING OFF THE WINDOW. WE KEEP OUR CAR PARKED ON THE CAR PORCH, SO IS PROTECTED FROM THE WEATHER. WE BOUGHT OUR OTHER CAR BRAND NEW, AND IT IS A CHEVEROLET CORSICA BACK IN 1987 AND WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE MOLDING MELTING AWAY FROM THE WINDOW. I FEEL THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR HAVING THE MOULDING PUT BACK ON, AND THE CAR IS ALMOST PAID FOR. THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE; YOU BUY A CAR BRAND NEW AND YOU TAKE CARE OF IT AND YOU STILL HAVE UNNECESSARY PROBLEMS WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE IT LEFT THE ASSEMBLY LINE. *AK

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
