This is for recall 25s89/ NHTSA 25V572. Took my car to the dealer and they confirmed and found C1001:01. They refused service and blamed a faulty wire harness. They stated fixed points which indicates tampering or previous repair which I am the original owner and have never had electrical work done on the vehicle. They are trying to charge me $1700 for a wire harness and refusing to do the safety recall

I started my Edge as I always do and the display panel kept changing from audio, to settings and on and on. It went thru all the choices and it kept going for about 20 mins until I could safely pull over to find the problem. The radio continues to play thru .the clicking of it changing choices. When I pulled over I put the car in park and shut my edge off, waited a few mins and started it again. It continues to cycle thru the choices. I shut the car off again, opened my door , closed my door, then restarted my edge. This stopped it from cycling thru the options again. I am also wondering about the other two recalls for my edge, the rear brake line and the rear camera. It has been over 6 months since I was notified and would like these fixed or give me a new car. Brakes are a very important thing and I do not think you really know what will happen if I’m going 60 mph down the highway and I have to stop quick. Please reply to this and let me know about the cycling thru choices and if you have a fix yet for the other recalls

See attached document for complaint. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the handling of safety recalls 25V572 and 25V544 on my vehicle, and to urgently request your assistance in having all repairs authorized at a local Ford dealership, due to the profound unprofessionalism and neglect I have experienced from the selling dealership, Pure Honda Ferndale. My vehicle is a 2016 Ford Edge Sport with approximately 101,003 miles. I purchased it from Pure Honda Ferndale just prior to being notified of these active recalls, after which the vehicle was understandably grounded. The core of my issue lies with the conduct of the dealership's management. Before the recall notice and the vehicle being pulled from sale, I was in direct communication with the General Manager, Mr. Sheldon Taylor. He personally assured me that he would resolve several preexisting issues, including arranging for a vehicle exchange or repairs. These issues include the dealership selling me defective and outdated tires and a rim package that no local tire shop will service, as well as a noticeable and hazardous defect in the SYNC system where the screen experiences complete blackouts, particularly when using the navigation and radio. However, once the reca ll was enforced, Mr. Taylor ceased all communication and delegated my case to a sales representative, who has since also ignored my repeated calls and the recall notices I have provided. I have been left with a vehicle I cannot safely drive due to the open recalls and an infotainment system that fails unpredictably, creating significant distraction and safety risk. The dealership that sold me this problematic vehicle now refuses to take responsibility for its prior promises. Given the complete breakdown in communication and the lack of professional accountability from Pure Honda Ferndale, I do not trust them to manage my vehicle's critical safety repairs or address this additional SYNC system defect. Therefore, I respectfully request that the NHTSA assist me in obtaining permission t

My vehicle previously had recall work, including power steering, but now I’m experiencing: * ‘Steering Assist Required’ warning, and the electric power steering is intermittently failing * Traction control and hill assist turned off * Headlights (and other lights) staying on even when the car is off * The vehicle pulls sharply to the left when braking * Despite multiple alignments and suspension/tie rod replacements, my new tires are wearing out rapidly

1am filing this complaint regarding my 2016 Ford Edge (VIN: [XXX] ), which has experienced a severe and dangerous failure. Ford has acknowledged a defect in the flexplate at the transmission bellhousing area under Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 22N12. This defect causes rattling noises and eventually results in flexplate cracks that can lead to sudden loss of power while driving. My vehicle is currently undrivable due to this defect. I have documentation from February 2025 (A&M Auto Repair, Invoice #[XXX]) showing that a technician identified noise from the rear of the engine/front of the transmission area and suspected flexplate cracks at that time. Despite this, my vehicle never received the CSP repair. Ford is refusing to cover the repair because my vehicle has exceeded the 120,000-mile cutoff for CSP coverage. However, this is not acceptable because: •The defect was documented earlier and existed within the coverage period. •More importantly, this is a serious safety defect that can cause sudden power loss while driving, creating a high risk of accidents. •Ford has incorrectly limited the remedy under a CSP with a mileage cutoff, instead of issuing a proper safety recall without mileage limits. Requested Action: I am requesting NHTSA to investigate and require Ford to: 1.Treat the flexplate defect as a recall, not a CSP. 2.Provide full repair coverage for affected vehicles regardless of mileage. 3.Ensure consumer safety is not compromised by arbitrary mileage cutoffs. In addition, my vehicle has also experienced repeated brake warning lights, which aligns with Ford’s brake hose recall (NHTSA Recall 25V544). The combination of braking issues and flexplate failure creates an extremely unsafe condition. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety matter. I was driving on the highway and the steering wheel light with exclamation point came on along with flashing adaptive steering menu, traction control menu and up hill assistance menu came on the dash repeatedly, as I kept driving the steering got worse and I almost had an accident. I had no choice to get off at the next exit and was able to pull into a gas station at the end of the exit. I tried to google from my phone the warnings and saw there was over 86 complaints on the same issue. I turned off the car and waited for about 10 minutes before starting it again hpeing that maybe it would reset itself. When I started my car again, I had no steering. I was forced to be towed over an hour away and over $3500 to fix it

I was told that when any Ford reaches almost 100000 miles that it's a defect that coolant leaks into the engine. Well I never heard such. Come to fine out? The adjusters had to tell the mechanics what was wrong because they couldn't understand what was happening with my truck. The adjusters said my engine needed to be replace because of several other Fords are habi g this same issue. They also repaired my brakes. Jones Kia twice within a 2 month span. And the brake light came on and stayed on. If you need more details ols contact me.

On my Ford there is a device somewhere inside the rear bumper assembly that will automatically open or close the rear hatch as long as the user has the key fob in their possession. There have been several times where the hatch has come down almost on top of me or my wife. There is a tone that sounds when the hatch starts to move but it only sounds from the front and can be difficult to hear if parked near a street or a busy parking lot. It would be a big help if the automatic hatch movement could be turned off by the driver. I believe Ford should also have a device in-betted in the hatch that also sounds if there is a problem. I have spoken to other owners on the web who also can’t find a way to turn off the hatch.

My parking brake, ABS, and Traction Control (ESC) warning lights all illuminate even when not engaged (Parking Brake states engaged even while driving.) Traction Control (ESC) on/off indicators illuminate opposite of engagement/unengagement (no correlation between.) Identical symptoms from NHTSA recall #16V733000. My car was manufactured right during that timeframe when my make/model/year were deemed loaded with improper ABS/ESC computer software. I brought it into Ford repeatedly and it was incorrectly diagnosed as a faulty E-Brake switch, only to give me my vehicle back and E-Brake could not be unengaged while they returned me the keys in the lot. They looked at it again and stated my ABS Module was broken causing my parking brake actuators to now be faulty resulting in my rear rotors to be worn down to unsafe driving levels. The best reason they could give me for a faulty ABS Module was "lightning strike." I called Ford Customer Care and asked if my car was overlooked in this recall before sold to me and they originally said it was (told me it was manufactured in Ontario,Canada) but then called back to tell me it wasn't one of the vehicles affected. I am deafly afraid that my braking system will fail as I am driving.

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE, THREE DIFFERENT TIMES IT SUDDENLY, WITHOUT WARNING, LOST ALL POWER AND SHUTDOWN THE CAR. NO POWER, LIGHTS, POWER STEERING, ETC. I HAD TO COAST TO A STOP ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE. ONCE I WAS STOPPED, TURNED OFF THE CAR AND IT RESTARTED LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. THESE EVENTS WERE VERY DANGEROUS. ONCE WAS WHEN IT WAS RAINING SO WHEN THE CAR LOST POWER, THE WIPERS STOPPED AT 70 MPH SO I HAD TO NAVIGATE TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SEE. A SECOND TIME WAS AT NIGHT DRIVING 70 MPH, WHEN IT SHUTDOWN, I LOST HEADLIGHTS AND I COULDN'T SEE. IT WAS TERRIFYING AS I WAS IN A REMOTE AREA OF I-49 WITHOUT ANY LIGHTING TO NAVIGATE TO THE SHOULDER. AGAIN, ONCE STOPPED AND PUT IN PARK, IT RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE NOTE, I'M NOT THE OWNER OF THIS CAR. I WAS DRIVING IT AS A LOANER FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP. THIS PROBLEM WAS SO SERIOUS I AM REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE NHTSA AS THIS CAR HAD NO RECALLS TO ADDRESS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET INJURIES OR DIE. I WAS TERRIFIED.
