My starter failed. I took it to a triple AAA authorized mechanic. He did a full diagnosis of the entire starting system and determined that the starter needed to be replaced. He noted that water caused it to fail.

The AC system on this car, and seems series of years is widely known to have major issue, as is the case with mine. I'm having issues with the dealer telling me the car is out of warranty 35k miles, 2019 year. Based on researching and talking with other owners they are also having similar issues, AC not cooling well, hot on some vents, works for a time period then stops, etc.

My concern for this vehicle is the panoramic sun roofs / moon roofs. I am hearing a lot of crunching, grinding, cricking, binding coming from panoramic sun roof. Sounds like it’s the assembly and glass making noise while driving, Turning into and out of driveways, going over speed bumps, pot holes, etc. My concern is will the sunroof shatter while I’m driving, will it hold up during an accident? This is a safety concern and hazardous. I only have 34000 miles on this car. Multiple people that have/had genesis with panoramic/ moon roofs are/had issues with the same area.

I took my car in to have a recall repair completed. A relay kit was added to the engine compartment and my car has not operated the same since. When I start my car now it idles rough and is making noises that it wasn’t making before. When I accelerate my car stalls and is sluggish. Also when I accelerate my car stalls and speeds up uncontrollably, which is a concern for safety. I’ve contacted the dealership where this repair was completed and told them all the issues I’ve been having since the repair was completed. They keep stating that there is nothing wrong. I’ve spoken with Customer Relations and the Regional Manger only to get no assistance. I’m concerned about my safety and how this repair will affect my extended warranty because my engine has been altered. I wasn’t having any of these issues until this repair was completed and the dealership seems not to care or taking this seriously. The Regional Manager didn’t call me back until maybe a week or so after I kept constantly calling and advising that I was going to go to the news and get a lawyer. This issue has not been resolved.

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
AIR BAGS
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driver‑side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN), that have been identified in U.S. vehicles following prior crashes, theft, or non‑certified airbag replacements. These inflators are not approved for use, may rupture during deployment, and have caused serious injuries and fatalities. Please see attached announcement, provided by NHTSA, for more details.
AIR BAGS
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driver’s-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle cabin. To date, Hyundai is aware of three people who have died while driving a Hyundai vehicle with one of these substandard replacement airbag inflators that deployed in what likely would have been a survivable crash. NHTSA has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners and service professionals to have vehicles inspected if there is reason to believe that a non-genuine replacement airbag may have been installed. Vehicles with salvage or rebuilt titles, prior airbag deployments, or unknown repair histories may present a higher risk. NHTSA strongly cautions against self-inspection by vehicle owners and recommends inspection by trained technicians.
EXTERIOR LIGHTING
This bulletin provides information regarding condensation related to the accumulated moisture in the headlamp, rear combination lamp, daytime running lamp (DRL), or fog lamp. This TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes or during normal driving operation.
This bulletin provides repair information for the dark chrome trim when stains are present. Some stains may occur from hard water or cleaning chemicals used during a car wash. Follow the procedures below to replace the affected dark chrome moldings.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services functions. This may be due to an irregular disconnection on Verizon’s communication network. Follow the procedure in this TSB to reestablish the connection by resetting the AVN unit.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Certain Genesis vehicles may experience an inoperable horn from moisture or carbonization at the contact point. This bulletin provides a guide to inspect and replace the horns.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
