2013 INFINITI JX35 Suspension Problems

The front and rear subframes of my 2013 Infiniti JX35 has experienced severe corrosion, perforation, and structural weakening, resulting in an unsafe driving condition. The corrosion is extensive enough to compromise suspension geometry, stability, and overall vehicle control. A structurally compromised subframe poses a serious risk of loss of control, increased stopping distance, and potential crash. A certified mechanic confirmed the vehicle is unsafe to drive due to imminent risk of subframe failure. This defect is premature, systemic, and well‑documented across the Infiniti JX35/QX60 and Nissan Pathfinder platforms.

The component is the rear subframe has rotted to the point of the trailing arms breaking free. This is a know problem with the same part on the Nissan pathfinder but for whatever reasons the recall was not extended to the infinity jx35

Rear subframe cradle failed on new years day while family was in vehicle and attempted to stop at red light. Rear trailing arm mount was fully rotted and snapped off while braking for red light and fully occupied vehicle. Luckily the brake line wasn't pinched and we walked away. Purchased this vehicle with 8k miles certified used amd waited for this color combo and package to be available, owned a 1997 Nissan Maxima, then 2000 Nissan Maxima, then 2008 Infiniti EX35, amd now have the 2018 Q60 Redsport 400 along with the JX35. We love Nissan and Infiniti and recommended them to friends and family, buy this is not normal. The vehicle stays parked indoors in a garage at our home.

The contact owns a 2013 Infiniti JX. The contact stated while coming to a stop, the contact felt the vehicle pulling to the left. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced both front struts, front passenger’s side control arm, the radiator, and the brakes however, the failure persisted. The mechanic also noticed that the rear subframe was rusted and had fractured. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty The failure mileage was 150,000.

2013 JX 35, rear subframe is cracked. With this vehicle only being in service approx 9yrs, i find it hard that a frame issue is even possible. This sounds like a manufacturer defect than anything else. Inspection at my local dealer found the issue when I brought it in from oil change. 3rd party service centers have all stated that there is no way that this truck has a subframe issue

SUV LEFT FRONT END MAKES THUNKING NOISES WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS AT SPEEDS BELOW 45 MPH. TIRES DO NOT SHOW UNEVEN WEAR. SHOCKS AND STRUTS HAVE BEEN CHECKED. STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT SHAKE EITHER. FEELS LIKE LOOSE TIRE BUT HAVE HAD THAT CHECKED MANY TIMES AND NOT THE CAUSE.FRONT RIGHT SIDE IS QUIET. CAR CAN BE MOVING STRAIGHT AHEAD OR TURNS, THE NOISE HAPPENS REGARDLESS. FRONT END SPECIALIST HAS SUGGESTED MANY COSTLY REPAIRS AS A "LET'S TRY THIS". SUV HAS 60,000 MILES AND STARTED DOING THIS IN THE LAST 6,000 MILES.

A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER DRIVING MY 2013 JX35 I BEGAN EXPERIENCING A SHUDDER/SHAKING IN MY VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING IN THE 15 TO 25 MPH RANGE. THE ENTIRE CAR SHAKES SEVERELY. IT HAPPEN WHEN TRYING TO MAINTAIN SPEED IN THE RANGE OF 15 TO 25 MPH. THIS IS A RANGE COMMONLY DRIVEN IN SCHOOL ZONES, NEIGHBORHOODS AND FREEWAY TRAFFIC DURING RUSH HOUR. THEREFORE, THIS PROBLEM IS FREQUENT. THERE IS A FEELING THAT I WILL LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. I BELIEVE IT IS GETTING WORSE WITH TIME. THE INFINITI DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE INITIALLY DENIED THE COMPLAINTS AND STATED IT WAS NORMAL FOR THE CAR TO PERFORM THIS WAY. I HAD TO ENLIST INFINITY USA TO GET THIS PROBLEM ADDRESSED. THE DEALERSHIP COMPLETED REPAIRS AND STATED THE CONDITION WAS REMEDIED. IT WAS NOT.
