The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Jayco North Point fifth wheel travel trailers. The certification labels may have the incorrect tire size information, causing the operator to install incorrect tires.
The risk: Towing a trailer with incorrect tires increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Jayco will mail correct certification labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 13, 2025. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901633.

The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
The risk: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Fifth Wheel Northpoint 387RDFS(LZ) recreational trailers. The welds on the axle spindle may fail, causing the wheel/spindle assembly to break away from the axle tube.
The risk: If the wheel/spindle assembly separates from the axle tube, it can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the axle, and replace if necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 30, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-617-776-0344. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901526.

Upon completing a trip with the RV mentioned, an inspection was completed of the units suspension system where it was found to be compromised. Not knowing what compromised the suspension (leaf springs, shackles, hangars, etc), further investigation was done where the underbelly of the camper was removed. Upon gaining access to the actual RV frame, it was found to have at least two major cross members completely broken off the I-beam that runs from the front to back of the camper. Not only were there two cross members where the welds had completely broken free, but there were other metal bracings between cross members and to the I-beams that have also completely broken off. With the welds completely broken, there is no support between the two I-beams on this camper leading to major safety concern not only to those towing the fifth wheel but other motorist around the unit while on the highway. No accident has occurred but instead the frame has completely failed, including multiple cross members, other structural steel bracing and even multiple outriggers compromised due to the movement of the main 12" I-beams. This is a MAJOR safety concern that Lippert (frame manufacturer) nor Jayco (RV brand) is taking any responsibility for but should be addressed as other units sitting on similar frames could be facing the same issues due to the low quality welds and bracing.

The contact owns a 2020 Jayco Northpoint. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V425000 (Equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 JAYCO NORTHPOINT RV. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE REAR AXLE BENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CAMPING WORLD OF WOODSTOCK (505 PHILLIP LANDRUM MEMORIAL HWY PARKWAY 575, WOODSTOCK, GA 30188, (888) 380-0095) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE RV WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V665000 (SUSPENSION) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO PARTIALLY COVER THE COST TO REPLACE THE AXLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONSUMER STATED MULTIPLE AXLE FAILURE ON THE FIRST TRIP. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE UNABLE TO HELP WITH THE FIRST AXLE FAILURE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE CAMPER HAS BEEN DISABLED FOR 11 MONTHS.
