The defect: PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2025 Kenworth C500, T680, T800, T880, W900, W990, Peterbilt 567, 579, and 589 trucks, equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall.
The risk: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel pump barrels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 15, 2024. Owners may contact Kenworth's customer service at 1-425-828-5888 and Peterbilt's customer service at 1-940-591-4220. Owners may also contact Cummins Customer Service at 812-377-5000. PACCAR's numbers for this recall are 24KWH and 24PBH.

The defect: PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2025 Kenworth K270, K370, L770, T280, T380, T480, T680, T880, W900, W990, 2025 Peterbilt 220, 520, 536, 537, 548, 567, 579, and 589 trucks. The tie rod or drag link assembly may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud, causing the ball stud to break.
The risk: A broken ball stud can cause a complete loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the tie rod and drag link assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 6, 2024. Owners may contact Kenworth customer service at 1-425-828-5888 and Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220. PACCAR's numbers for this recall are 24KWG and 24PBG.

This optional software update is expected to be available on 08/07/26 for chassis equipped with EPA 2024 EMY 2024-2026 PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines. This update provides customers with additional time to service their trucks before a DEF-related derate occurs. The software is being offered to customers in alignment with recently updated regulatory agency guidance.

This is not a stand-alone process but must be used alongside Cummins troubleshooting steps. Cummins Quickserve will reference this bulletin for fault codes 555 or 556.
