EVERY TIME I TOOK MY CAR IN TO DEALER FOR SERVICE I QUESTIONED THE UNUSUAL EARLY AND UNEVEN WEAR ON THE TIRES. THEY MAKE A LOUD NOISE WHEN DRIVING. I HAD TO REPLACE THE TIRES (TOYO PROXES) AT 22,000 MILES. THE BRAKES HAVE ALWAYS SHAKEN AND VIBRATED SINCE AROUND 17,000 MILES. THIS WILL OCCUR AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE INTERSTATE AND AT LOW SPEEDS. THE BRAKE PADS ARE FINE. NORMAL WEAR ON ALL PARTS OF VEHICLE. AGAIN VERY UNUSUAL EARLY WARPING OF THE ROTORS FOR NO REASON. I FEEL BOTH ARE MANUFACTURER DEFECTS AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT NO CHARGE TO ME. CURRENTLY I ONLY HAVE 35,200 MILES ON MY 2012 MAZDA AND I PURCHASED IT IN JULY OF 2011. I WILL PROBABLY NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER MAZDA BECAUSE I EVEN PURCHASED ADDITIONAL WARRANTY COVERAGE AND THEY DO NOT COVER ANYTHING FOR YOU. I SEE OTHER PEOPLE ON HERE HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINTS BUT WHEN YOU GO TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT SERVICED THEY LOOK AT YOU LIKE YOU HAVE 3 HEADS. TODAYS DATE 10/25/2015.

Some customers may complain of signs of oil on the struts or shock absorbers. In most cases the oil that is present is normal, and a result of the oil that remains on the shaft during the normal sweeping process of the shaft seal. Follow the inspection guidelines below to determine if the condition is a result of the normal sweeping process or a failure of the shaft seal.

If you encounter any type of electrical concern (e.g, dead battery, engine no start, DTC(s) stored...), interview the customer before proceeding with normal MGSS diagnosis by asking if any aftermarket devices have been installed. Aftermarket devices may be the cause of the electrical concern. Below are a few examples of unusual electrical concerns caused by aftermarket devices. Examples: 1. Devices connected to the DLC-2 (battery discharge/DTC stored) 2. Cell phone charger/accessory in 12V socket (engine no start or unable to turn off) 3. GPS tracking device (engine no start/battery discharge) 4. Dash cam (DTC stored) 5. Non-certified USB cable (Apple Carplay™/ Android Auto™ will not connect) 6. Over-sized wheels/tires (incorrect GPS location)

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

This service bulletin provides testing and charging procedures in order to promote proper battery maintenance, to deliver new vehicles with fully charged batteries, and to reduce unnecessary battery replacement cost. For new vehicles in stock at the dealer, inspect and maintain the battery periodically according to the repair procedure.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
